Y’all the food is AMAZING! Staff, also AMAZING! I am a true southern girl and I love anything Fried, cooked in Grease that I will regret later. The chicken wings were beautifully done. The perfect color, juicy, and crispy. It’s hard finding collard greens like my Maw Maw but HELLO! So close, reminding me of her and how she put her heart and soul into feeding us. I have to say my favorite part of my dinner was that macaroni and cheese. I don’t know what was in it but it will make your tongue slap your brains out ya head! Definitely heading back to try the pork chops and catfish.

They were a bit disappointing when I went–except for the hush puppies which I couldn’t get enough of. I’m curious what they’re sprinkled with on the outside.

Occasionally we will catch them on an off day (typically when they’re super super busy but even then it’s still really good) but when they have everything going right they’re amazing so it’s worth it.

Just went there for the first time with the wife after seeing so many glowing reviews here on reddit… and it did not disappoint at all! Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly, owner was incredibly kind, the several flavors of Koolaid available was an unexpected and honestly kinda cool touch. I’ll be comin’ back!

Man, the first time I went there was a random yelp pick on our way back from Cedar Park. I remember thinking somehow I have never had chicken tenders this perfect before. Catfish was 🔥🔥🔥 too. And that Mac & Cheese god damn. My picky-eater kid probably ate like a whole pound of food in that one meal.

I’ve been there a few times but nothing has blown me away. The chicken I got was pre-cooked and sitting under a heat lamp, greens were a bit above lukewarm and the cheesy Mac was warm mac and cheese encased in quickly solidifying cheese. Didn’t have a ton of flavor. I live close by so I really want to like this place. I wish they had some country gravy to smother the chicken with (and heat it up).
