Ingredients:
16-21 sea scallops
Coarse Sea Salt to taste
Coarse Black Pepper to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
1 Tablespoon Olive oil
Directions:
Clean and remove muscle from scallop (the muscle is the small piece attached to the scallop, this becomes chewy when cooked).
Place scallops on large dish.
Drizzle 1 tablespoon of Olive oil over the scallops.
Grind sea salt, black pepper and garlic onto the scallops, to taste. Mix together.
Preheat grill to 350-400 degrees.
Place scallops directly over the heat.
Cook scallops until tender and opaque.
Grill for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Serve immediately.

What level do you have the grill ? Medium-high? Awesome , simple recipe.
Several mins several mins what is several mins 7mins more less? The grill temperature is med high? What is med high 300 degrees? 4,5, and ther scallops are room temperature. Enjoy your scallops!
Scallops should be room temp. not cooked straight from fridge. Salt put on right before they are put on the grill, salting and letting marinate draws the moisture out and dries up the scallop. Also "rule of thumb", 400 degrees/10 minutes per inch. If you follow this you will get a better sear and the texture will be better. Just an FYI
