Muhammara (Turkish Dip)

Preparation time – 20 minutes

Ingredients:
• Red bell pepper – 1
• Red dried chillies – 5-6 or (chilli flakes)
• Bread crumb – 3 tsp
• Garlic cloves – 5-6
• Cumin powder – ½ tsp (optional)
• Pomegranate molasses – 2 tsp
• Olive Oil – 4tsp
• Lemon juice – 1
• Salt to taste

Procedure:
1. Roast the bell pepper, deseed and peel off the skin
2. Boil the dried red chillies in small amount of water and make the paste – if you are using chilli flakes you may directly use them
3. Now take a blender jar add the roasted bell pepper, garlic cloves, walnuts , pomegranate molasses, bread crumbs, olive oil grind to make the paste
4. Add little water to the paste if it is too thick
5. Add salt as required with lemon juice
6. Muhammara can be served as dip with French fries, tortilla chips or any other snacks
