i got korean bbq a few months back and neglected to ask what this sauce was but i was obsessed with with it. i found an store that has a lot of asian imports and i was going to try to make a lot of replicas of my favorites from restaurants but i have no clue what this is. i was thinking maybe ssamjang but when i look it up it looks chunky and this was completely smooth any ideas?

    My guess is they somehow made smooth samjang – should be funky, salty, and sweet
