Hello everyone. I am a university student and live in a dorm. I’m planning to make Korean marinated eggs (mayak eggs) for the first time, and I’m wondering which type of egg to use. I’ve seen some options between quail eggs, duck eggs and chicken eggs.

I’m also wondering if it’s possible to make this dish if i don’t have a fridge.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Chicken eggs are fine. Quail eggs are great, but they’re expensive and small, so annoying to peel so many.

    You definitely need a fridge though.

    Edit: fridge to store the eggs. If you really want, you can just eat them right away if you make a small batch for one serving.

    We ran out of Korean eggs a couple of days ago, I need to make more!! My family absolutely love them.
