This is better than the other pretzel dog recipes in that you don't need to make dough–he's using a can of premade dinner rolls. I did with crescent rolls and they worked as well. I mean if its hot dogs–you want something quick time wise–not worth making dough IMO–defeats the purpose. Pretty much used 1/4 cup of baking soda in a pot and wait until they float then you can pull them out–might not even need 30 seconds. Made these last night and they worked well–I went lower on temp because of the crescent rolls temp was listed lower on can–but then did broiler for a minute to brown a little more.
