The $65 omakase here is a steal. $30 wine pairing that was actually good and interesting. Best bite of the evening was the super fatty sardine. Shari was solid (was minimally better the last time we dined here, but they are pretty consistently good).

Thought it really quiet on a Wednesday. So please go just enough that they stay in business, but I can still always get a table 🤣

These were the folks previously on St. Clair W.

  1. Wow at 65, definitely seems like a steal. Will check it out this weekend!

Looks great going to have to check this place out

  3. I had their 100 dollar reservation only omakase recently and I thought it was fairly priced. Highlight for me was the kanpachi.

It’s great. Never been to this location but really enjoyed the one on St Clair West (now closed)

Totally agree! Everyone should try it. Great value as opposed to an overrated Michelin star up the street… (Shoushin) The guys running shunoko are also super nice. One time they ran out of their ice cream and offered us extra nigiri of our choosing.

I am planning to try them out but I have a toddler and they don’t have anything child friendly…

Their website says $100 for the omakase – is this a special walk-in price?

  8. Just commenting here so I can come back to this later!

Been a few times to both their new and old locations. This is by far the best quality for $ omakase in the city in my opinion. No nonsense, just great pairings at a shockingly low price. Couldn’t recommend highly enough

What is the shari like? Sugar added? Type of vinegar?
