I ordered this in Italy a year ago and I have been thinking about it ever since. I am pretty sure the staff told me it was focaccia but it is unlike any focaccia I’ve tried. It was two thin pizza-like crusts with cheese in between, and then all these toppings on top. I’m pretty sure it was at La Compagnia Del 28 Erbe in Genoa. Thank you so much!

I know I’m tired… But I seriously thought it was a plate at first… Not focaccia.. and then I got confused because I couldn’t see any “focaccia”… 🤣

Two thin pizza with cheese( maybe garlic) cooked then pushed together. Then on top you have arugula (rocket), prosciutto and fresh tomato

    I think it’s that specific restaurant’s creation.

Focaccia is different in different parts of Italy. It’s essentially a pizza in some areas, and a bread in others. So yes, that’s technically a focaccia.

Yes some pizzerias also offer this. It is simply pizza but without tomato and mozzarella base. It is called focaccia. It is a somewhat lighter food. Ciaooooo
