  1. This is such an awesome soup! Great for vegans and veggie's also good for meat eaters with the bacon added 🙂 Fried Russet skin is a great alt for the crunch of the bread/bacon topping. Use olive oil and Silk for dairy subs.

  2. I made this soup, but something doesn't add up in your recipe… If you use 2 heads of cauliflower like you say that is way too much, it is enough to use only 1. And is a quarter 1/4l or what? Because if you use 2 quarters of water/broth that is just 0,5l and that is way too little. You must use at least 1l to cover the vegetables like in this video. Even if your pot is narrow like a vase you would need much more than 0,5l just for 1 cauliflower and not 2 to cover the vegetables.
    Soup was fine, it was not diluted with twice as much water… forgettable, nothing special at all. I had much better cauliflower soups before. Simply can not believe that no one is commenting on this miss-mach in the recipe…

  5. There's a sort of health food place near me called CoreLife and they have this creamy broccoli soup that's amazing and relatively low in calories. I asked how they did that, and they said with a cauliflower puree. So, using this recipe as a base, I added broccoli florets, shredded carrots and some cheese and now I have a different, although equally amazing, soup.

  6. Do you notice roasting the c flower is a waste of time? Or does it make a difference? I’ve only done this twice. Both times I roasted the c flower. I came across your channel after I made the soup twice looking up a different recipe. So I haven’t tried just boiling the c flower.

  8. I bought a stick blender a few years ago just to make this recipe. It was amazing, but I never made it again until just now because I had some extra bacon and the recipe popped into my head.

    Wow. Ten times better this time. This is a stunning recipe. Seasoning is crucial (I added a touch of chicken bouillon and parmigiana to the soup) but my god. Heavenly. Thank you Chef John

  9. Would it taste better if we roast the cauliflower first and brown them ? Or isn't there enough sugar in cauliflower to caramelize ?
