Ingredients:
Remoulade-
– 1 1/4 cup mayo
– 2 1/2tbsp spicy brown mustard
– 1tbsp smoked paprika
– 1tsp Cajun seasoning
– 2tsp lemon juice
– 1tsp pickle juice, sweet or dill
– 2 tsp horseradish
– 2 garlic cloves, grated
– favorite hot sauce, to taste
– black pepper, to taste

Green Tomatoes-
– 2 large green tomatoes, sliced into 3/8″ slices
– kosher salt
– 1 1/2 cup flour
– 2 cups bread crumbs, unseasoned
– 1/2 cup buttermilk
– 1 large egg, whites only
– 1tsp salt
– 1tsp smoked paprika
– 1tsp garlic powder
– 1tsp onion powder
– favorite hot sauce, 3-4 dashes
– canola oil

Directions:
Remoulade Sauce- Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and whisk together until well mixed. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Fried Green Tomatoes- Pour oil into a cast iron pan until 1″ deep. Preheat oil to 350ºF. Slice tomatoes and place onto a tray and sprinkle with salt. Let tomatoes sweat for 30 minutes and pat dry with a towel.
Make breading station using 3 medium bowls. Bowl #1 combine flour, 1tsp salt, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika. Bowl #2 combine egg whites, buttermilk, and hot sauce. Whisk until well mixed and no egg white clumps are left. Bowl #3 add bread crumbs.
Place tomatoes into flour and coat well. Shake any excess flour before transferring tomatoes to the buttermilk mix. Coat well, again shaking any excess buttermilk mix off the tomatoes. Transfer to breadcrumbs and make sure to press breadcrumbs into the tomatoes so that they are evenly coated. Place tomatoes onto wire rack and let rest for at least 10 minutes before frying.
Fry 3-4 tomato slices at a time for 3 minutes or until golden brown and delicious!

Serve with Remoulade Sauce & Enjoy 🙂
