Today we make the beef stroganoff recipe that I wish my mom made me as a kid. Beef stroganoff was always a little bland but anything over noodles I love. We fix all the issues today by using the braising technique and instead of using steak, we use short ribs and some high-quality mushrooms. The recipe is a dream.

I made this tonight, thanks for the the ideas. Your stuff is always so inspirational.
The recipe is wrong, it says 4 cups of stock, no way in hell. If you want soup maybe, you should only use half maybe 2 cups, that might even be to much. Seriously why does it say 4 cups??? It totally trashed my dish, I was at least able to somewhat recover by skimming off as much as I could and putting it into a large part and boiling both at the same time. I still lost a lot of flavor, so I ended up having to add bullion to give it some flavor back. Other than that, I was pretty good.
Never had it with carrots before. Not sure what to think. I'll try it out.
Yeah, I need to make this.
This is exactly how my Grandma cooked it. ❤ (Exept the Worcestershiresauce, in Switzerland we use „Maggi“ of couse! A traditional Swiss liquid condiment.)
I love this interpretation! I learned recently that the classic french cooking encyclopedia Larousse Gastronomique says Stroganov/Stroganoff is deglazed with white wine, but I can't really tell the difference. BTW your Ft. Greene cilantro/avocado sauce is one of my favorites! Congatulations on the 1M subscribers💥🎉🎊
Made your version …pretty much down to a T. Really good. I did use a high quality, butcher shop, chuck roast. Turned out beautifully. I also used cremini, porcini and morels. Fuhgettaboutit…
yes
I made this dish its delicioso! Thanks for sharing🌺
I love how timeless this video feels, both from the recipe and the production talent. Came back after a year cause I just didn't have time for making this when I first watched. Now, I can finally close the tab in my phone and enjoy this beautiful dish!
This has to be the best Stroganoff/Bourguignon/Goulash stew I've ever come across.
I made this today and it was so good i ate it without noodles!!! This turned out so good i was amazed!!!!!!THREE BOWLS
This is hands down the absolute BEST beef stroganoff I’ve ever had in my life. Thank you so much!! You are a genius!!
Have allergies to red wine. What should I replace it with?
I can't wait to try this recipe
As delicious as this looks, it's not an authentic stroganoff.
Do you know the recipe doesn't mention the quantity of beef you used?
Mmmmm…….. I've never had this dish tbh…. But, if you ever wanna do me a favor…. I have a dish I make, that is akin to this, but the recipes I use all call for different things.
When I make a new dish, and look at multiple recipes.
I take elements from the ones that make the most sense to me.
I make chicken paprikesh. It's allegedly Hungarian, but it's roots are similar to stroganoff I think.
Some recipes call for bell peppers. Then Hungarians say, no no, not authentic.
So I do it without them. But is that right. I dunno…
I use a ton of hot Hungarian paprika, and just a small pint of sour cream.
They say it's served over something similar to spazael.
Or egg noodles. I usually do it over rice.
If you could do an authentic paprikesh, id be very grateful
Ift is delicious the way I do it, but if I could make it better…
This a fucking banger bro – I never woulda thought to use shortribs and cook them down almost like a beef bourguignon. Fire!
I always put red wine mushrooms and garlic in mine.
I love beef stroganoff but I'm not a guy that likes cooking with wine or beer in recipes but this still looks great 👍
What temperature for the oven?
Definitely trying this recipe! 🔥
try the brazilian recipe
nice cook as usual Chef.
Looks really good, I heard that it should be white wine instead of red.
Very nice!🙏👍🇸🇪👏
That quarter cup of heavy cream looked like 1 cup, should I go heavy on mine?
Really intrigued by the Dutch oven….I live in the Netherlands and never heard of this kind of pan. Is it a "stoofpan" or something?
God bless you, you live in place that you can actually source real ingredients like specialty mushrooms.
Best cooking show on yt.
What temperature was your oven at?
You lost me at the red wine. Sorry mate, that’s no longer stroganoff
Nice job Chef! 💯
strgonov with pasta is crminal
I gotta say: chives, not parsley at the end. And a nice dollop of Dijon mustard at the end for a good bite
I am sorry but this is not beef stroganoff.
Hands down the best stroganoff recipe video I’ve seen! Definitely better than the last one I watched…boring.
