Here’s an updated, simpler version of my recipe on how to make tater tots at home. The result is a golden brown tot with and a fluffy interior and little bit of potato that lend great texture to each bite. Included in the video are two different ways that you can form each tater tot. This recipe is hands-down the easiest way to make gourmet tater tots at home. Give it a try!

  1. Too much work for me. I would only do this if I was making it in mass production. I might do this sometime with a 15 pound bag of potatoes. I would roll them up stick them in the freezer and get them out as much as I need until they were gone.

  2. Alternatively, you can buy the 3 pound bag of tater tots from Walmart for $2.19 and have enough for a month.

  3. I came from the first tot video and I loved it but it wasn’t quite the type of tater tot I wanted and I scroll two videos down, find your second one and got exactly what I was looking for in a great video. I don’t usually suscribe but man you sure deserve it β™₯️

  4. A lot of other totts recipes on YouTube make this so much more of a process. I'm glad you kept it simple and quick.

  5. Ok, in the last video, version 1.0, you said that pre-cookng the potatoes made the tots soggy. Now, you cook or par-boil them and don't say why you changed your mind

  6. Finally (2yrs ago), someone looked at β€œproduction”. In 2023, I can’t find tater tots (for a reasonable price, ) at all. So, twenty pounds of β€˜taters later, they only cost time (with my wife, my life partner). I don’t see a downside to any of this!
