We just got back from Italy and, when we first opened the fridge, we realized we had no food in the pantry! Well, not quite… We had dry pasta, some cheese we brought back from Italy, and some butter. With those ingredients, we made a classic and SUPER SIMPLE pasta dish that happens to be one of our favorites.

This pasta dish got us thinking about what a versatile ingredient butter is. With it, you can make a ton of incredibly simple, easy, quick, but delicious pasta sauces. Today, Eva’s sharing some of them with us!

  2. As an American from an Italian family, I was a bit anxious as they were talking while the dish of burro e Parmigiano was sitting. It’s an perfect dish, and ephemeral. If my grandmother was making it or some like it, when it was ready it was time to eat. Shut up, stop what you’re doing and eat.

    These sorts of dishes, in my experience, were snacks or quick bites, the sort of thing you whip up when company comes by unexpectedly.

  3. I tried to make the first butter pasta recipe in your video but, my cheese just wanted to stay a rubbery glob in the center of the pan….what did I do wrong?

  4. pasta, lots of butter, salt, and some black pepper. If I had it, pasta with green peas and onions, dash of red pepper.

  6. IF it's a true nearly-nothing to cook wit moment, then prolly a can of sardines. But if I've brought sthg home like y'all did.. then it was probably tomatos and cheese. With that, I can make me a salad. And spaghetti, tee hee.
