Winter is on it’s way and we shall soon start to get a taste of this!

In this video, we begin the process of winterizing our no dig garden and give you our tips for for doing this . We harvest the veg which is frost sensitive and prepare them for storage as well as saving seed.

Welcome to the No Dig Norfolk Gardener and our no dig/no till garden where we grow vegetables. We garden in zone 9a. Although we grow our veg from our back garden it is very much set up like allotment gardening UK – allotment life. Our passion is vegetable gardening, bigger harvests and no dig gardening. You will see how growing your own food is so easy.

  1. Wow, what an amazing suede that was you harvested. Can I ask, if squash are in storage in the shed, will they still be ok if there is a frost.

  2. Hi, I observed you have some muttering on a curved surface, would you mind doing a short explanation 'tutorial' on how you rigged it up please? I have a curved greenhouse roof and have been unable to deduce a way to save water from the rain run off from it.

Thanks a bunch in advance ☺

  3. Lovely swede and pumpkins. We had our up a few weeks back. Our celeriacs are doing well although I don't know when to harvest them. What insect did Mrs W see at 1.45?

  4. Were those the Tweed Swede? I thought i would chance it and sown a few late on, I'm going to put them in the poly over winter. I love growing all of the pumpkins and squash, Mrs W i need recipe's! Please let me know if you would like some of the Czar runner beans, I have loads drying in the garage, I wont grow anything else now, they have been amazingly prolific 🙂

Just to mention that Mr mouse had all my runner bean seeds last year so please take precautions to make sure that they can’t get your bean seeds all the best

  7. Hi mr and Mrs w lovely sunny autumn day for you to be in the garden. Nice squash harvest I have already harvested ours 2-3 weeks ago and our beans. Some of our beans we grow only for the seed to use in soups and stews they are delish. We have bean saving our seeds for years now. Also pea seeds and lots of others. Some plants take ages to produce seeds like beetroot and chard. Onions leeks and garlic very easy and lettuce. I havnt been plot for over 2 weeks as have been poorly so looking forward to getting back to do a bit more ready for winter. 👍🙋🏻‍♀️
