In episode #37 ‎Nonna Paolone‬ is teaching us how to make the popular fish in Italian restaurants Branzino!!! This is also one of Nonno’s favorite dishes that Nonna makes for him. #NonnaPaolone always cooks fish on Fridays along with a lot of other Italian Nonna’s. This Nonna still likes to follow the old fashion Catholic tradition of eating Fish on Fridays. In the early years of Catholicism in Italy, the church
instituted the practice of requiring the faithful to abstain
from eating meat on Fridays in memory of Jesus’s death. Italians therefore would eat Fish on Fridays. This is one of Nonna’s popular Friday fish dish she would make for Nonno and her family especially on Good Friday or Christmas Eve. Watch to get the step by step instructions on making Nonna’s Branzino so you can make this dish for your family and friends. One important ingredient that Nonna always adds to her recipe is cooking with her heart. So, be sure when you make this you do it with all your heart. Enjoy!
