We all love a healthy dish of chicken and rice…but there is a very specific kind that I think could end them all as one of the best in the game. I’m talking real deal Hainanese Chicken.

I watched this vijeo because uncle Roger gave you uncle status.
you don't leave it simmering, you turn off the heat after it reaches boil
Made this morning for breakfast with ginger scallion sauce. It was wonderful. Thanks JW.
Josh can't protect us from Uncle Roger's unwashed rice mafia?!
Love that real Chinese food is becoming more mainstream
Weak and shame. 白斬雞 not doing this way. Fake
You missed out the most important the soya sauce dressing that provides the added umami test the kicks the whole disk into high gear. That secret combination sauce is used by all the well known Chicken Rice places in Singapore – and what makes it unique.
Wrong!
After seeing how hainese
After seeing how hainanese chicken is made, I can confirm the Filipino post i saw, it's just tinola rice 😂
This is a bit salty tho you cant really eat this every day.
In Malaysia they add a lot of black pepper in their broth for more heat and flavour. This take on chicken rice still looks very good despite the different ingredients used.
The Hainese Chicken Rice is more of an OG Singapore dish than Singapore noodles 😅😅😅😅😅
That's the blandest chicken I've ever seen
Looks great, just the chicken is very over cooked.
I think you're missing winter Mellon in the broth.
Traditional not authentic.
Your chilli— nooooo
Not the best recipe for Hainanese chicken and rice but looked ok. Have seen so many other vids that are better and correct for this dish. Oh, and the rice… did you use Uncle Ben's Parboiled rice?
fantastic. btw if any of you guys dont have sambal for the sauce, just make the simple version of the sauce. just put chicken stock/broth(depends on how watery you want it to be), 4-5 chillies, 1 or half inch of ginger, 2 cloves of garlic and a splash of vinegar in a blender. blend everything and done!
