Boxed taco kits with crispy shells, premade sauce, and seasoning packet are an undeniably convenient formula to get tacos on the table quickly. But all the nostalgia in the world can’t make up for the prefab spice mix’s lackluster, dusty flavor. Our recommendation? Ditch the spice packet in favor of a nearly-as-convenient substitute: fresh Mexican-style chorizo. Follow along as Ashley makes Ground Beef and Chorizo Tacos.

  1. I made these as shown tonight, and they are delicious, just spicy enough. A definite addition to my rotation. Thanks!

  2. I was cringing each time you dragged that knife across the palm of your hand.
That hand with the chorizo sausage in it.
    Safety first.

  3. Why are you on my vegan recipe search?!!! "For countless years the bitter stew of hate goes boiling on. Its vengeful broth is ocean deep, impossible to calm. To learn the cause of all this conflict, terror, & war, Listen to the cries at midnight by the butcher's door." Stop killing! Chan Master Cloud of Vows (Song Dynasty)

  4. Another trick is to airfry the tortilla's depending on what tools you have on-hand.

  5. So should I store my cilantro like she does when I'm not using it? In a jar with a little water in the bottom?

  6. Gonna use this idea when I make my Fritos Pie!! Just a pie crust filled with meat, cheese and salsa. Bake and top with Fritos, more cheese, sour cream and any other garnish you would like. I’m excited to try it with chorizo!!

  7. Amazing recipe! We swapped a few ingredients to keep it low calorie and super flavorful. I put up a video on our channel if anyone needs a lower carb meal option.

  8. Ooh yeah ❤, thanks for sharing. I’m making this for dinner tonight and adding a can of pinto beans. 😊

  9. All I ever buy is Portuguese chorizo I'll just have to improvise with what I have on hand 😢😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
