If it’s a salad that you’re after, but find they are rarely substantial enough to fill you up then perhaps you haven’t tried this one. Without a leaf of lettuce in sight this dish is both fresh and tasty, not to mention impressive looking when topped off with your char-grilled tuna steak.

  1. Heat up the pan really hot. A hot pan is naturally less sticky. You can also rub oil on the fish(or any other meat) instead of the pan. Typically you end up using less oil that way.

  2. You guys should do an episode on poke, which is raw tuna, cubed, mixed with onions, preferably Maui onions from the island of Maui, green onions, and kikoman shoyu which is a Japanese soy sauce. Be sure to taste the shoyu first, if it is to strong, please dilute it with water. You can eat this recipe of poke or raw fish on a bed of salad or white rice. Poke is a very popular Hawaiian dish that is rarely showcased. I believe that more people should experience this type of cuisine. It is relatively hard to find poke on youtube, but I believe that it can be found on google, as well as, google images.

  3. Sorry, I forgot to mention that you can also add a little bit of sesame seed oil to the poke and toss the entire mixture like a salad.

  4. omg… jamie… i never knew that…. opened my eyes. question….. why can't potatos go into already boiling water?
