I dont think Allrecipes understands the mediterranean way of cooking. Especially in Greece there is definitely no peperoni used and most definitely not in a salad.
Furthermore..raw mushrooms? Never have seen that served anywhere in Greece. And a tip for bell Pepper: Green is traditional due to its more bitter flavour (Which fits very well with the creamy feta).
Im sure this would work well at an American block party, and I guess that is the target audience for this recipe. But its not Greek.
Substitute for wine?
Hi jazziemarie, this recipe is calling for red wine vinegar. If you prefer to substitute it, try apple cider vinegar instead!
Love this recipe, especially with the pepperoni. Maybe, I should try it as well with some Spanish sausage as well as Morcilla, hey I like how we can invent or modify recipes:)
