I use a drinking straw
Thank you, the las summer I made it but I didn't use the lemon juice and vainilla essence. This is the difference 😍
Thank you for that. I checked out a video on peach pie filling and she used canned peaches. I agree if you're making it from scratch why ruin it with pre canned fruit.
Thanks a bunch for showing how to make this!
😋yummy
I’m doing it with fresh picked tart cherries for a pie
i don't want to use the pre made pie filling either ! ,,, i Can't wait to make this ! Thank you ! 🙂
I pop mine out with a straw.
Is the lemon optional or is it required??
Love that entry!!
Just made a quart and a half of pie filling. The rest are going for jam.
#EasiestCherryPitting 🍒 with intact Cherries & WITHOUT MESSIN’-UP the bottom of the Cherries. I’m a Nurse & the 1st thing that came to my mind, was a thin Hemostat. ($5 surgical Hemostat clamp on Amazon). It WORKS GREAT! Just put the point of the Hemostat into the stem & gently follow down on each side of the Cherry pit. Ridges in the Hemostat’s legs grab the slippery pit. Then squeeze tight & wiggle the pit right out WITHOUT damaging the Cherry at all. There’s only the little puncture where the pit is removed.
I tried all the hacks online & none worked as nice as this $5. Hemostat.
Really nice if you want Fresh Cherries 🍒 that aren’t all messed up.
Give it a try. If I knew how to make videos I’d do it but I’m just a Nurse who knows the value of medical equipment.
Make sure to boil the Hemostat first tho’ don’t want any infections!😉
I just buy seedless cherrys
My neighbor said use a straw same way
Call me strange but I put this on my oatmeal every morning eh
This is a real solid recipe. Simple, quick, easy, I love it!!!
I cut a quick little slit in one end of the cherry and the pit comes right out.
I just made my first cherry pie using your recipe! I didn't have enough fruit so i halved the recipe and added more water incrementally until I had enough to fill my small pie pan. My husband likes things on the sweeter side so I added a few spoonfuls of sugar. It came out beautifully and delicious! Thank you for sharing your world with us!
If you know a nurse ask her where to get a skinny Hemostat ✂️. You can put the Hemostat nose into the Cherry & you grab the stone/pit & pull it out. Best part is you only have 1 hole in the Cherry so it looks a ton better than the mangled cherries I’ve seen most c folks on YouTube show. I guarantee the Hemostat was will work much better. Like your channel: God Country Guns …my kinda gal.
Just picked 8 lbs cherries off our tree, ready to make pie. Thank you, Your recipes
are always easy to follow and I always have the usual ingredients on hand that you use. I like that!
My mom made her own pie filling. She had apple & cherry trees in her yard. She also grew peaches & grapes. And she had a huge garden every year. We always ate at home & everything was made from scratch. Your channel brings back childhood memories♥🙏
