  1. ROFL! Oh Kevin, you’re wonderful! And I’m sure you hand-pumped the water from your well, too, right? Thanks for the recipe AND the grins. ❤️

  2. I love potato soup. I have never cooked with leeks so. I am going to try this soup after I go to the store. I love your cooking lessons and make most of them. I also love all the other things you show us. Just love you I guess! And your piano playing!!!

  3. It's 95F here. Ugh. I'm dying to make some (leek) soup, a pot of beans, braise a chicken… You're the professional but… My gawd man! That is the craziest way I have even seen to dissect the leek top! You could take off your entire hand. I've never had leeks oxidize but I do chop then as you did and give them a spin in a bowl of water to clean the grit and drain them off.

  4. Potato and leek soup one of my absolute favorites, love to serve it with fresh baked crusty bread~ thanks for sharing.

  7. Making this for the second time today. It was a huge hit the first time. You choose to make great recipes and the demo is always clear and concise. Love it.

  8. Very nice and comforting soup. Potatoes are one of my favorite vegetables. I just wish they weren't so high in carbohydrates, but I still love them served in many forms. Wonderful video and recipe from "fruits" of you gardening labor. I bet you might like colcannon. It's great topped with a hearty Guinness beer beef stew (think St. Pattie's Day). Thank you for sharing. Have a great evening! 😊💚🙏

  9. Hi Kevin…and Bessie…just a foot note to say I made a batch of this creamy soup a few days ago. Sumptuous!! Makes a perfect lunch with hot buttered toast squares. Extremely warming too. One slight difference: I find heavy cream a bit too heavy for me these days so use what we in the UK call "single cream" – you'd probably call it "thin" cream, if you called it anything at all. Bessie would produce it on a bad day I expect!! Smashing recipe. Thank you so very much! Steve & Noggin xx

  10. I’m definitely making this soup!! My husband says he hasn’t had a decent bowl of potato leek soup in 30 years. We’ll see😊

  11. I'm trying to think of a funny yet effective way of telling you how much I love you, but I don't want it to sound gay. I've never told a gay person how much I loved them because I didn't want to sound gay! I'll just say it like this… I love ya man (no homo)! I would absolutely take a bullet to keep you on this earth. You have great energy Kevin, and my soul just loves yours! Have a great summer and may you stay blessed with LOVE, joy and happiness!

  12. Making this soup today but adding silver queen corn! Promise if you add 1/4 teaspoon of fresh grated nutmeg you will not believe the difference.
