Do you want to decrease your carbs? This carb-free meal is perfect for any dinner idea! Use the spaghetti squash to replace your pastas and have the same delicious, flavourful meal!

Ingredients:
For the meat sauce:
1lb ground beef
1 yellow onion, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
1 yellow pepper, chopped
3 celery sticks, chopped
¼ jalapeno, finely chopped
2 cups crushed tomatoes
¼ tomato paste
1 tablespoon turmeric
½ tablespoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped

For the Spaghetti Squash:
-1 medium spaghetti squash
-2 tablespoons olive oil
-salt & pepper to taste

Instructions:
1) For the meat sauce: heat pan with oil, on medium to low heat, add in onion and celery, cook till soft, about 3 minutes.
2) Add in spices, garlic, jalapeno, ground beef, peppers, tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, and salt/pepper to taste.
3) For spaghetti squash: Preheat oven to 350F, line baking sheet with parchment paper.
4) Cut the squash in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds.
5) Coat the flesh with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
6) Place the squash, flesh side down, on the baking sheet. Fill the pan with hot water, up to 1 inch deep. Bake for 45 minutes or until fork can pierce skin of squash.
7) Remove from oven, let cool and then scrape the squash lengthwise to form spaghetti strings.
8) Combine with meat sauce and sprinkle with fresh parsley.

  2. i love the way you present the ingredients, very clean and great visibility. I love spaghetti squash! Your version looks much better than mine, but I did a video about how to lower your carbs by using spagehetti squash instead of noodles or rice, I'd love to know what you think!
