Grilled Octopus with Potato

We are happy to share a delicious find from Costco – Cooked Octopus (Nuchar)

For those in Brooklyn, NY try the equally delicious Grilled Octopus at “Yiasou” Greek Restaurant on Emmons Avenue.

❂ Ingredients:

500g. Young Potatoes ( mix of red and gold)
3 Tbsp Butter
1 Tsp Garlic Salt
Fresh Dill
500g. Cooked Octopus
1/2 Shallot Onion
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
2 Tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
1 Tbsp Capers
Parsley

❂ Cooking process:

⁃ Rinse the potatoes, put in a frying pan, pour a glass of water and cover with a lid.
⁃ After 15-20 minutes, when the water boils away, add butter and salt.
⁃ Fry for 5 minutes over high heat, at the end add fresh dill.
⁃ Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
⁃ Grill octopus until charred on all sides, 5 minutes per side.
⁃ Remove from heat, slice into pieces, and put on top of chopped onion on a serving platter. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and red wine vinegar. Sprinkle with capers and fresh parsley, season with salt and pepper.
⁃ Spread potatoes around.
⁃ Serve immediately!🤤
