Recipe:
1 (9 inch) deep dish pie crust
6 large eggs
1 cup heavy whipping cream
4 green onion, thinly chopped
1/3 cup chopped green bell pepper (optional)
1/3 cup chopped red bell pepper (optional)
2 tbsp butter
4 oz. smoked ham, chopped and divided
1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Prick the bottom of a frozen pie shell using a fork. Bake for 5 minutes.
2. Melt butter in small skillet. Cook the green onion, and peppers (if you include them) for 2-3 minutes.
3. Layer half of the ham and half of the shredded cheese on the bottom of the pie shell.
4. Whisk together the heavy cream, eggs, and seasonings until fully combined. Add cooked veggies to the mix.
5. Pour half of the mix over the first layer of ham and cheese, then repeat ham, cheese, and mix.
6. Place onto a baking sheet and place into oven. Bake 10 minutes.
7. Lower the oven temp to 350 degrees F and continue to cook for an additional 30-40 minutes.
8. Let cool, then EAT!!
