Mah.
I had menudo plenty of times (never knew what the "honeycomb" was until I asked one day) and I liked the idea of using different parts of the animal to cook, but both this soup and menudo soup somehow just doesn't give the meat flavor. If you boil the meat in water and taste it, it tastes the same as meat that has been cooked with seasonings. There's something about the honeycomb that prevents it from absorbing flavor. Maybe I need to over power the flavoring of the soup to make the plain taste of the meat not so recognizable.
I did like the big difference between this style and the Mexican style of honeycomb soup. I liked the standout flavor of the parsnip. Adding the sour cream to your bowl of soup was good, too. Mine didn't come out a bright yellow like the one shown here.
There's a few differences between the video and the website instructions about cooking time and the onions, but not that big of a deal. I'd give it a three out of five star rateing.

Looks like the Romanian version.Ineteresting way of cooking it but I don't like the waste of products from the beginning (the carrots,onions and celery).

In Polish version, there is marjoram, instead of pepper. A lot of it. It eventually soothes your stomach.
That broth does not look like beef broth but looks more like chicken which one do you use chicken or beef?
