  5. I would put the meatballs in the soup instead. Cooking them in the oven will dry them out. And add some spinach too.

  10. This soup is really delicious with all the vegetables & spices. I had 1 lb of extra lean ground beef & it made plenty of large meatballs for the 2 of us. Instead of the browning the meatballs in the oven I used the stovetop & they turned out great. Between the tasty meatballs & the flavorings in this soup it's a favorite now & hit the spot on a chilly day.
