  1. Yes sugh, thats ole school right there. " Go to the stowe and get some buttermilk". I love it. We cooking in that there kitchen . I have my grandmother and my grandfathers cast iron skillets also. My grandfather had a small cast iron skillet that he used to cook his sardines with onions and peppers. Precious memories .

  2. I'm loving this @Grillin TV network!! — AND your YT Channel: " @Smokin and Grillin with AB " ❤ Thank you Chef AB, and Ms. BJ from Alcenia's, for this lipSmacking, delicious Cornbread recipe! ❤….But i'm gonna put this cornbread recipe to the side WITH SOME COLLARD GREENS, you know what i mean!

  3. Just won 1st place for best cornbread at the Chilli cookoff for doing this recipe the old school way in my fav cast iron skillet (my level-up was using the "butter flavor" crisco)…this video sent me back 30yrs thinking about my grand-daddy cooking at the gas stove with that old crisco can at the back corner ready for some bacon drippings and then using the same grease to scramble eggs and make corn beef hash 😂. Man those where some good days and everything tasted soooo good!❤

  4. AB didn't realize when you pour the cornbread mix, it pushes the oil up the side of the skillet which coats the pan on its own.

  5. I loved this video. So much of our culture and traditions have been lost or replaced by modern trash culture, it's good to see something like this.

  6. Southern Cornbread for real 😋! AB said he ain't going out like that and tasted that cornbread with butter and buttermilk 🤣🤣🤣!

  7. She brought back some good memories when she said Meridian Ms. I use to live in Meridian Mississippi. Military The Navy. Great Video!

  8. Yes, now this is the Southern old school cornbread recipe. This video took me back to watching my father who would place strips of fatback in the over and then add the rindered grease in the cornbread batter.

  9. That's enough shortening to give someone a heart attack. It will also make you as fat as a pig if you routinely eat it.

  10. AB I’m so glad you did this with this” old school” queen. Man I’m still missing you being here on Haven Ave where I could just go & buy my dinner. But our loss is Vegas’ win.

  12. Love this channel and all the recipes but please have folks wear hair nets! This yellow hair piece is driving me crazy! It’s falling on her tee shirt 😟not being negative but hair in food is no good

  13. Omg, I'm from Louisiana and this blessed my soul. Brought back so many great memories from my childhood. Cast iron skillet, brown hen eggs, buttermilk and cornbread and most importantly, crisco in the can or lard and we use to say😂. I truly enjoyed watching. Thanks
