If you’ve ever wondered what Claire Saffitz’s Thanksgiving dinner looks like, this video is for you.

Claire’s here to cook her ideal holiday dinner from start to finish. There are fluffy mashed potatoes, homemade cranberry sauce, caramelized brussels sprouts with lemon and an easy turkey recipe that keeps things simple using her foolproof methods, along with broth and gravy. And because no Thanksgiving is complete without dessert, Claire also shows us how to make her five new pie recipes: pecan slab pie, a cranberry cheesecake tart, a caramelized apple pie, a pumpkin pie with pepitas and a creamy lemon pie with honey and ginger. Make one or make them all. Happy eating!

  2. I always look foward to mac and cheese and ham on thanksgiving lol

  3. 3 pies is 2 more pies than I would expect. An excellent number of pies. I might have to emigrate.

  4. Every time I see Claire, she seems to just get prettier! I really miss the 2020 test kitchen videos

  5. Coring the apples before peeling saves some time. You won't have to cut out seeds if you core first or use an 8 slice apple slicer/corer to save even more time.

  6. LOVED every minute of this! And I think the pie puffed up is because your pastry dough technique is like a as you put it almost like a "quick croissant dough'! LOVE that it puffed up! Must have been delicious!

  7. Hello. I may have missed it but didn't see a temperature for the oven when roasting the aromatics for the stock.

  8. This is so random, but if your family doesn't make stock and just throws away the gizzards/heart/liver of the turkey, might I suggest that you fry it up for your pets and give it to them! They will love the treat.

  9. We don't celebrate thanksgiving in my country, but this would also make a stunning Christmas day dinner. What an amazingly informative video!!

  10. My mum always gives the oyster to the youngest in the household. Even though she has 6 grandkids this year she gave it to my dog, because – she’s a purist and my dog is the youngest..

  11. My first time watching your video. Will be sure to subscribe. What great instructions. Everything looks delicious. Will have to try those shallots. Only thing missing for our family was the dinner rolls. Thanks you!
