For people who haven't seen variations of savory rice porridge, at first it might look disgusting like it's glue, or the goop you see in The Matrix, the goop they eat outside the virtual world, but the taste is really good, it's aromatic, creamy, and has a very silky and smooth texture so it's really worth trying out especially if you're a fan of chicken.

  6. Chicken soup! Chicken, baby marrows (zuccinni) carrot and celery. Salt for flavour, I like black pepper, ginger and red chillie added❤ but I've started making a sort of congee, over cook rinsed rice, add it your soup and simmer/slow cook. Chicken with bones is essential! The celery just gives it that mmm factor! Lots of broth, lots of veg, I'm not really interesting in eating the chicken pieces, I want the broth and veg😁

We call it bubur in bahasa (which porridge) plain just with vege, bubur ayam (with chicken) my family normally like this style (not kidding, after dismissed from hospital due to dengue and typus, my mom Fed me porridge with tempeh and tofu for good 4 months to heal my overall system especially my gut)

    and in my hometown Aceh we eat Kanji style with shrimp a lot too, especially during fasting month
