BTW I've kept these for up to 5-6 weeks in the fridge, but IMO they are definitely best in terms of flavor and texture in the first week.

How long can they stay in the fridge ?
I made these last week and they were fantastic! Soooo easy and I'm only sorry I didn't try this sooner. I've been adding them daily to my salads. I poured liquid over onions at about 188F and they are still crispy and full of flavor. Thanks so much for the quick, easy recipe and well done vid.

The contrast examplss u chose 🤢 wtf peanut butter and jelly ? Peanut butter itself is disgusting but with jelly… Overall bad choices on the contrast examples, who eats crackers with cheese wtf…
Made these but i hage two questions…..
1. I followed the recipe but my onions didnt turn vibrant pink. Any reasons why?
2. How long can they stored in th3 fridge for?
I didnt have loads of onions, so just used 3 small ones which didnt fill the jar.
Can I use other types of onions? I have yellows at the moment.
I just made this recipe two months ago, my first time make pickled onion and it was so good my jar was finished within a week, that I used it on everything, except for the peanut butter and pickled onion sandwich.😄 That's next on the list

After finishing store-bought pickles i throw in some red onion, leek, peppercorn, and cucumber…lazy and possibly risky but very quick and tasty!

My mother used to make peanut butter and dill pickle sandwiches and I still love them and eat them regularly. I will definitely try peanut butter and pickled onions. I’m sure it’s great, but nothing beats dill pickle 😋

Do these count as fermented?
I've tried the recipe, but there is still a strong stench of vinegar which I don't really like, did I do something wrong ?
Some other recipes say to add sugar. Where do you come down on this?
