  1. I never liked cranberry sauce growing up but about a year after my daughter was born, I took over Thanksgiving dinner and decided to make cranberry sauce. I love making it with fresh berries! I do the same with the OJ, orange peel, and cinnamon. So good!! My dad enjoys it like this now. He'll use the canned sauce if I'm not around because he says no one makes it the way I do. 💖

  2. A few years ago, I visited a Cranberry Bog and brought back a case of Cranberries. It was the 1st time I made Cranberry sauce from scratch. Couldn't get over how easy it is to make nor how fast. Taste is light years better than the canned version. I add a lil Brown Sugar, Cinnamon and Allspice. I serve a lil on the warm side.

  3. Slow cooker – 6 hours on low. two bags of cranberries, a cup of orange juice, a cup of capitan morgan spiced rum, orange zest, stick of cinnamon, and some cloves, two cups of sugar, half a cup of maple syrup.

  5. I buy my cranberry sauce in a can. But I will eat some homemade cranberry sauce. Some Stove Top Stuffing,turkey,mixed vegetables,apple or pumpkin pie and I'll be happier than a pig at feeding time. No complaints from me. LOL!

  8. Right out the can..slice..put my cornbread dressing on a plate with sliced turkey.. giblet gravy..2 slices of canned cranberry..salt n pepper..mix all together..done!

  11. Great recipe, I make my own but not with all the add ins, but I am definitely going to try it. I love cranberries through the year with chicken and pork so I freeze blobs individually so I can have when I make certain dishes.   15. So good. First time making it. My grandmother would open the can when I was a kid — hated it. I love that you used this symbol of comparison. I made the recipe. Holding back a handful of cranberries so they remain whole is masterful!!

  18. I can't believe people buy the canned stuff when fresh cranberries are in season. Not only is it a cold and flu season antioxidant super food but It's a great refrigerator ready snack or appetizer over cream cheese on crackers. It you're worried about it being too bitter or tart you can add all the ginger, clove, cinnamon, allspice and vanilla you need. So festive, healthy, easy and delicious!
