I was raised in Albuquerque, NM and we had both turkey and ham. My husband is from Northern NM they just ate turkey so anything I do that's different he blames it on Albuquerque habits. Lol now all his side loves that I make ham and we eat more ham than the turkey. Go figure!

Yes, that ham is yummy, the go to ham from Costco that if i donβt make a turkey, thats the one, itβs so good! I was also remembering when my Grandma made her ham it looked so pretty too because sheβd put pineapple rings all over, and within each pineapple rings center, she put cherries, then she also pierced the ham all over with cloves, and of course used the pineapple juice, and not only did it look pretty, itβs also delicious, old school, and itβs a tradition I still keep. I also remember sheβd have extra pineapple juice and make a brown sugar pineapple juice glaze which was so good all over as well, basting her ham last hour of cooking. ππ
