I have been making pesto for years – as a cook and at home . Over the years I experimented with different proportions of the ingredients and this recipe is the one that suits mine and my family’s palate most.

For our ingredients we’re going to need:

150 g Basil
125g Parmigiano-Reggiano
100 g Pecorino Romano
40 g Pine nuts
20g Garlic
1 Cup Extra virgin olive oil
½ Tsp salt

The best thing about pesto is that you can use it to make all kinds of delicious foods: pastas, sandwiches, pizzas, chicken, bruschettas – you can use it as a condiment or just eat it out of the jar like Jack. And if it makes you at least half as happy as it makes him, my job here is done 🙂
