Knafeh is a traditional Middle Eastern dessert, made with pastry called kataifi, soaked in a sweet, sugar-based syrup called attar, and typically layered with cheese, or any other ingredients depending on the region. It is popular in the Middle East.

Ingredients:

350 g vermicelli kunafa (kadayif)
2 tbsp powderd sugar
150 g melted and unsalted butter
cheese for kunefe or mozzarella

for the syrup:

1 glass of sugar
1 glass of water
1tsp rose water
