Cranberry Sauce is such the perfect compliment to homemade dressing or stuffing. Add ham or turkey and you have the best holiday plate ever. I hope you will give this one a try. It has the right amount of tartness and sweetness. Delicious. Recipe below.

Ingredients:
12 oz package fresh or frozen cranberries
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup orange juice
zest of one orange

Directions:
In a medium size pot, add cranberries, sugars, water, orange juice, and orange zest. Let simmer about 10 minutes or until cranberries are tender and have popped open. Stir occasionally. Chill in refrigerator. Cranberry Sauce will continue to thicken as it cools.

  4. I only use orange juice for the liquid and put cinnamon, nutmeg and a very small amount of cloves while it’s cooking.
