I do not know if I can call it a Thanksgiving Dessert, but that is what I am serving this year! It is just perfect for a smaller crowd and will definitely impress your guests.

APPLE STRUDEL PIES

You will need:

2 packages (480 g each) of Puff Pastry Sheets
4 medium size cooking Apples ( I used Granny Smith)
2 tablespoons of butter( either salted or unsalted)
½ cup Brown Sugar
½ cup chopped pecans
½ cup raisins ( I used Golden)
Zest from 1 lemon
Juice from 1 lemon
Optional: 1 tablespoon Rum or Vodka

Starch Slurry:

1 tablespoon Corn starch
1 tablespoon Water

HOIMEMADE CARAMEL SAUCE

1 cup (200 g) Granulated sugar
2 tablespoons butter (at room temperature)
1/3 cup water
3/4 cup heavy cream

Shape your Apple strudel pies as it is shown in the video and place into lined baking dish. Sprinkle with granulated sugar.
Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 25-30 minutes or until tops are golden brown.
Cooking time might very depending on the size of the pies.

Serve warm with warm Caramel sauce.

  1. Oh my gosh, the sugar bear is so cute! This strudel looks delicious, and I would make them if i wasn't already making apple spice cake, but I can make the caramel sauce!! Happy Thanksgiving!!
