In this video, we introduce a delicious and easy mixed rice dish (takikomi-gohan) for those who want to lose the oil. It’s even healthier and tastier than fried rice!!
Although it can be made in a regular pot, this time we will use a traditional Japanese earthenware pot.

  2. i will try making the ponzu salmon and the sweet potato takikomi gohan! thank you for sharing the recipes! ☺

  3. Very nice as always, Sayaka. Beautiful and ambitious with six variants. Gobo is very good, in the spring one can also eat the flower stalks before there are flowers, they taste artichoke. Sweet potato and also shio kombu are favourites in my kitchen, edamame is king. The pot you use is very nice! Well done, arigato!

  4. 炊き込みご飯❤、匂ったら日本田舎の紅葉思い出す🍁。全部美味しいそうや、でも先の2つはヤベ上手いぞ

  5. I love takikomi-gohan. It's the perfect one-pot meal!
Thank you for sharing your recipes! Now I am ready to go grocery shopping

  6. This looks great. I'll make one tomorrow! Also, I finally got to try shiso, and it was so good! Kind of minty almost. I'll keep searching for it in the grocery store

  7. Yes! I would like to try them all, especially salmon and chicken and veggies. I heard takikomi-gohan is not good when reheated (in the microwave). Do you think that's true?

  8. Hello, can I use rice cooker if I don't have the pot? And can Gobo be substituted with renkon? Thank you!

  9. Looking for recipes for my father who needs to get rid of a fish he got as a gift after my mother died. Will show him the second recipe.

  10. HEALTHY..!.Understandable & I fully support, coz cooking oil is expensive in iapan now & u all must fully utilize fuku$h1m@ water & fish from fuku$h1m@ catch area… I cannot wait to taste it…. It must be very veerry tasty…. Right… ❤🎉❤

  11. This reminds me of Korean bibimbap (Korean mixed rice) and Chinese clay pot rice (part of Cantonese cuisine) and Chinese menfan (similar to Cantonese clay pot rice).

  12. Thank you for sharing these recipes! I'll definitely try out one after another once I'm able to eat normal food again 😅😊

  13. I’m interested to try all recipes other than the salmon mushroom. I tried salmon mushroom mixed rice.

  14. Sayaka, you have the absolute best channel and videos on You Tube! I bought a Donabe a few years ago and used to often make ginger chicken rice. It was soooo good! Watching this video reminded me how good this kind of rice can be and I'm SO EXCITED to try these 6 new types of rice!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! You spread so much joy with these videos! <3

  15. Doing the eggs separately is so much better! If done in the pot the texture changes, as far as I can tell. You always have great suggestions, and give sensible reasons for your choices. It is one of the things I really love about your channel!

  16. Agree nothing is quite like Shiso but Shiso! Rather than substituting often we can find dried purple Shiso as a ingredient at Japanese specialty stores in the UK. Imagine something similar may be available in many other places outside of Japan.
