The best thing you can do with a cherry tomato is not just pop it in your mouth—but is nearly as fast. This Genius Recipe comes from the cookbook Indian-ish by Priya Krishna and her mom Ritu: a five-minute, spicy-bright pickle that will electrify everything from dal to quesadillas.GET THE RECIPE ►► https://f52.co/3hca1FV

  1. I agree! Some hacks can be whack! And, I find great comfort in handling the foods I am preparing! Love this channel! ❤🇨🇱

  2. The problem I have with the tomato hack is that the tomatoes end up unevenly sliced because as you say, there is no control.

  3. Ooh, this sounds amazing. And I have some cherry tomatoes and Serrano peppers on hand… 🤔🍅🌶👍🏻

  4. Don't be afraid to try other extremely hot peppers, some of more adventurous will discover Douglan, Pot Brain and more. These are not your parent's Habaneros, but another dimension of heat and flavor.
These are the type where you have to use gloves and remove the ribs, but you are after that fruity flavor which no others can provide. Hard to find fresh in the stores, so check out the farmer's markets. Just be careful and mindful while handling.

  5. I’m sure you’re looking forward to a new kitchen, but I will really miss your actual home kitchen, especially glimpses of your darling child and wonderful camera husband.

  6. I tried the cherry tomato hack once and decided it wasn't really a time saver. I'd rather just slice the tomatoes one at a time.

  7. I find the off-axis camera angle to be off-putting. I prefer to feel like the presenter is making eye contact with me and speaking directly to me, especially in a kitchen production shot like this one. Otherwise, great content, as usual!

  8. I’ll be glad when there’s no more glass cutting board. Those things murder your knives! 😄

  9. I use the tomato hack if I have to slice a whole point for something. I use plates or cutting mats and usually grape tomatoes, as they're less squishy. The cuts aren't always even but 🤷‍♀️

  10. It’s a great hack it works very well and yes it saves a lot of time when you have those cherry tomatoes. I used it and it’s great!
I have everything from my garden to make this recipe and I have the Indian spices. Thank you Kristin!!

  11. I don't use the hack, maybe if I was doing hundreds. It is just too much bother. I do feel for you. That knife, it made me feel sad to watch you use it.
