Lahmacun Turkish Pizza is a delicious way of making Turkish style Arabic pizza. Easy to make and a lot of flavor.

Lahmacun Turkish Pizza

The recipe Is for – 8 Lahmacun
Preparation time – 1 Hour & 30 Minutes

EQUIPMENT:
1 Big bowl
1 Dough roller
1 Dough cutter
1 Kitchen machine (Magimix)
1 Baking paper

INGREDIENTS:
200 ml Lukewarm water
1 tsp Sugar
1 ½ tsp Instant yeast
350 g Flour
1 tsp Salt
1 Long Red Marconi paprika
1 Big white onion
2 Cloves garlic
1 ½ tbsp Biber Salcasi Turkish red pepper paste
1 tbsp Tomato paste
2 tsp Ground cumin
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Smoked paprika powder
1 tsp Ground coriander powder
1 tsp Oregano
1 hand Parsley
250 g Ground beef

INSTRUCTIONS:
Start with making the dough. Add lukewarm water into a bowl and add the sugar and yeast. Mix this. Add salt and flour and mix this by hand or in a kitchen machine till it’s a nice smooth dough. Leave this to rest in the bowl covert with a towel for 1 hour.

To make the Turkish pizza topping add to a kitchen machine (Magimix) the Long Red Marconi paprika, white onion chopped in 4, garlic, Biber Salcasi, tomato paste, ground cumin, salt, smoked paprika powder, ground coriander powder and oregano. Give this a mix but make sure you don’t overdo it. It needs to have a bit of a chunky structure. When mixed add the parsley and ground beef. Again make sure you don’t overdo it. You can use the pulse button to have more control. Take it out of the kitchen machine into a small bowl and set this in the fridge.

After 1 hour when the dough is well rested and risen you can take it out of the bowl and add it to the kitchen workspace coated with some flour. Cut the dough into 8 even pieces and roll them onto a ball. Place them under a tea towel. You can start with rolling out 1 ball of dough as flat as possible. Make sure you use enough flour on your workspace. When rolled out add the ground beef mixture and spread this evenly over the dough. Add the Lahmacun in a preheated oven for 6-8 minutes at 260℃. Repeat this process until they are all done.
