  1. Hell yeah brother, maybe sacrilegious but I always squeeze out or pat the kraut with a paper towel for a second too so the bread doesn't get too soggy. If I'm feeling really crazy I'll mix in a dash of smoked paprika too before application. It's a free country, J. Looks great!

  3. I've always heated up all of the ingredients for a Reuben. Been a cook for years and years. It looks luke-warm. The idea of knowing how the layers of ingredients create the mouthful and SPREAD of flavor is something that people don't understand. I love that. But that's a luke-warm sandwich. I've never served it like that. I don't know……………I think it should be hot, with melted cheese, and all of the flavor that you layered just like you should.

  4. A Reuben sandwich is my all time favorite sandwich. I prefer it with pastrami on Rye bread with celery seeds but I had it your way and it's also delicious. A side order of tater salad, pickle and a cold brewski and I'm one happy camper.
