Alisha is a dreamer and unfortunately, an oversharer. In this week’s episode of PB, she unpacks ANOTHER crazy dream for the books, and Remi learns the hard way that planning a wedding is not what she imagined. From red-soaked wedding gowns to Alisha’s long lost twin to reminiscing on the days of prom and stuffed Jansport backpacks, this one is a trip-and-a-half. Enjoy!

  1. Love you Alisha, but listening to someone talk about their dream is so boring bc not only is it not real but it’s never as interesting to the person you are telling it to. God bless Remi for pretending to be interested 😂😂😂

  2. Minnesotan- we had 5 free snow days per year for school! Most of them were used on ‘cold days’ when it was like -40 and the buses wouldn’t start 😂 any more than 5 days and they would tack it onto the end of the term

  3. I'm not a size 6 – they put like a cloth on the back and clip you in! some bridal stores do have some other size options as well!!

  4. More inclusive stores will have like a sample in 4,10, and 16 at least where I’m from. But they also have clips with elastic that you can put on either side off the zipper so that it stays up and fits closer to what it would in your size! Either way you are going to be a GORGEOUS bride ❤️

  5. I wore a black mermaid style dress with dark blue roses on the bottom skirt from Lord & Taylor for my prom. The dress had a deep v-neck lol the look was made me think of SpongeBob “Cora Blue No. 5”

  6. i got my junior year dress from david’s bridal and my senior year i got on clearance from dillards

  7. I was homeschooled so I got my spring formal (our only dance) dress at American Eagle. A cream colored flapper style dress on sale – I actually loved it!!!!🫶🏻

  8. I got engaged and my wedding was 2.5 years later. Venues, florists and photographers get booked up so fast! I booked my venue as I rang and the date I wanted was only available 2 years later. I wanted a violinist and a certain car that I couldn’t get but doesn’t really matter in grand scheme. Married 14 years this year, my advice plan and have a wedding you and Cal want. When all is said and done it will be you two left after the “celebration”. Secondly, I only had my mom, Mother in law and maid of honour see my dress. There’s something special about it being your thing and sharing it on the day.

  9. Yes thank you remi I'm an aunt of 3 now. I do want children but yes I am in no way ready for kids. When I heard you talking it made me feel better. But my significant other wants 2 of each. 2 boys and 2 girls 😳

  10. I wore a size 14 dress (wedding dress sizes do not equal regular dress sizes) and I had no problem. I just read reviews before I went. Also a lot of the women who work at the bridal shops were so nice and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable.

  11. I was 20 some weeks pregnant with twins when I tried my wedding dress on. And I was able to try on a dress and find the perfect one. I got it taken in by quite a few sizes cause they ordered it too big. But yes you’ll be fine I’m sure!!!

  12. i’m so excited to see how the wedding planning goes Remi❤ my prom dress I actually thrifted and it looked like Ariana Grande’s 2015 black Grammy performance dress! it was beautiful and such a steal it was like $30 😅

  13. Hi Remi! I am a married girl of 6 years! I am normally a size 10-12 on an everyday basis for NORMAL dresses. Just be mentally prepared that for whatever reason, wedding dresses run SMALL! My wedding dress ended up being a size 16 which was discouraging at the time, but you know what girl. It’s just a fucking number. I looked snatched in my dress, my husband balled at our “first look” with how I looked in my dress. You will look beautiful regardless of the useless number on the dress!

My suggestion would be to expand past the cute boujee LA boutiques and look up places that carry curvy/ plus size dresses! That way they will be dresses of all styles, shapes and sizes and you can get a large variety without shooting down the morale of the day!

I’ve always been the bigger friend in my friend group so I remember feeling nervous to try on dresses because of how they would 1) look on me, 2) if they would even fit. But the right boutique will make you feel like the queen you are!!!

Can’t wait for the content! Shine bright love!! 💜🤍

  14. Hi Remi!!!! Thank you so much for talking about wedding dress sizes. I relate to this so much. I went dress shopping in September for my wedding, I was so fortunate that my dress shop carries plus sizes and they made me feel so beautiful. I had anxiety for about a month leading up to the appointment thinking that I would feel huge in every dress, but I did not feel that way what-so-ever. The stylist I worked with made me comfortable and if I didn’t like how one looked on me, we didn’t walk out and show everyone!

I think a lot of shops do carry larger dresses now, so I would call ahead to see. But just know… you are going to be absolutely stunning in those dresses. You will be surprised and that’s coming from someone with super big body insecurities. I had such a positive experience and now looking forward to my wedding day… where before I was terrified of not looking like the standard bride you see on socials.

  15. Love you guys. But I got my prom dress from Poshmark. It was $80. It’s the cutest thing ever I actually still have it. It’s this short, corseted ballerina dress, and just like a pure white color with a bunch of rhinestones on the corset.

  16. I got my dress from NORDSTROMS RACK ONLINE! It was NYE and my mom and aunt were super excited for my senior year. They found a red dress I LOVED and we ordered it right there. Came in the mail. Fit me perfectly. No one wore the same dress as me. BUTTTT that year, 50% of the girls wore red. To this day it’s one of my favorite dresses. AND WE ONLY PAID $47 for it!

  17. 😂 I ordered my prom dress in January for an April prom from overseas, it didn’t show up till the middle of summer. So I missed my junior prom but had my dress for senior prom 💀

  18. Re. the Midol warmth patches– I just use the huge pack of toewarmers from costco, and they do the same thing and are SO MUCH CHEAPER!!

  19. I just bought my wedding dress in October. I’m a size 6 and when the dresses were too small they added a back panel thing, they also had a section for larger sizes so you’re good!!

  20. As a 2024 bride I can say prices are stupid nuts right now for everything. HOWEVER, best places to find a wedding dress are at small town stores. Bought my expensive looking fully beaded ball gown off the rack, zipped right up, and fit like a glove (I am a size 10 in pants so 14 in wedding dresses). Also SHOP BLACK FRIDAY DEALS NOW!!

  21. I'm a size 12 anything I tried on was too small, but they order your size from the manufacturer or they can make one according to your measurements. So no worries if it doesn't fit in the shop 😉🥰

  22. I loved the newborn stages of my kids, my husband not so much…. but he did so well with them as toddlers and l didn't really 😊 worked out kinda well for us

  23. I got my prom dress off amazon for $114 and it was in 2018 for senior prom when two pieces were in so it was navy blue lace top with a floral bottom

  24. i’m having a year and a half engagement and it’s been so smooth. i’m also a freak with planning and knew exactly what i wanted so i think that is making it 10x easier. i found my venue in july 2023 and i get married in october 2024, maybe book your venue and have some time to relax. i also live in the midwest so it’s probably way different in LA LOL but just my advice 🫶🏻

  25. I got both of my prom dresses from Ross. Junior year was yellow (staples and satin-y) and above the knee. I got a lot of compliments. Senior year was floor length and also strapless. It was all black and the top had a light pink ribbon.

  26. Alisha n remi are either matching to a tee or wearing completely different looks there is never an in between 😂
