Fresh Guacamole is an all time favorite appetizer. Today I’ll show you how to make the most delicious, simple Guacamole at home using a Mortar and Pestle. If you don’t have a Mortar and Pestle, feel free to substitute a mixing bowl and a potato masher, but I love the texture that they bring.

Guacamole Ingredients:
10 Grape Tomatoes or ½ of a Roma Tomato
3 Cloves of Garlic
2 Avocados
1 Serrano Pepper
½ to 1 Lime
½ Yellow Onion
½ Bunch of Cilantro,
Salt and Pepper to Taste

Hey y’all Vince here welcome back to my channel what is the go-to appetizer that you get for the whole table when you’re out having Mexican food I know what you’re thinking it’s fresh guacamole so we’re going to do just that today so today we’re going to be making homemade

Guacamole and a mortar imp pestl not everyone has one of these so if you don’t you can still follow along grab a mixing bowl and grab a fork or a potato masher that’ll work just fine but if you got one of these I definitely recommend it so let’s go over everything we need

We need a couple of avocados that are ripe a serrano pepper to kick things up a notch we’ll need half of a white onion some Tomatoes I’m going to use little grape tomatoes but you can also use Roma tomatoes totally up to you we’ll need a

Little bit of fresh lime juice don’t use that stuff that’s already you know in a bottle make sure you get some fresh lime and the same thing goes for some fresh cilantro you don’t want dried you want fresh last but not least a little saw and

Pepper like always and that’s it if you find Value out of this video and find it enjoyable smash that like button subscribe to the channel and turn the notification Bell on I make delicious recipes every single week so how do we tell if our avocados are ready for guac

It’s actually a lot easier than you think you just want to use your thumb and press in a little bit if it’s got a little bit of give to it when you press in with your thumb on the skin then you know she’s ready we’re going to take the Sano pepper we’re

Going to give it a good dice okay once you’ve chopped your Sano you’re going to move that on over to the side we’re going to crush a little bit of garlic a lot of people don’t put any garlic in their guac but I’m a garlic fiend so I’m going to throw some in

There move that over to the side we want our avocado to be the star so I’m going to start off with half of an onion for two avocados and if we want to add more at the end we can definitely do that so we’re going to start and just chop

This bad boy up give it a good dice and we want to still have some texture in here so just break it down something like this and I like to use the ratio of about 1/ half bunch of cilantro for every two avocados so if you’re going to

Use Roma tomatoes you’re going to need uh to do this a little bit differently but one of the things I like about these little grape tomatoes is it’s just so simple you do a chop like that a chop like that and you got these

Nice and if you want you can kind of do eths but honestly even quarters is pretty nice so you can either do e or quarters depending on how you’re feeling or how big the little grape tomatoes are and after just a couple of minutes we’ll be

All done our chopping and it’s on to the fun part so we got a small bowl of tomatoes here like I said it’s about 10 grape tomatoes or half of Aroma all right now that we have everything chopped up it’s time to start off and

Make a little bit of a paste to kick off our guacamole so what we’re going to do is we’re going to take about half of our Sano pepper we’re going to get that in there a tablespoon or two of cilantro get that in there all of our

Fresh garlic get that in there as well and a little bit of onion a tablespoon of our chopped onion next we’re going to take a little bit of salt and we’re going to add a few pinches of salt so you’re going to take your pestl and you’re going to get everything

Kind of working together grooving along and if you really want to impress someone you’ll grab this and you’ll start doing tableside service at home then they’ll really like you once you get a paste that looks something like this you can set it aside and grab your avocados okay now let me

Show you what to do with these avocados sometimes they’ll have a little bun right there if there is you want to take it off grab your knife and starting with where that button is you’re going to you’re just going to slowly move your knife all around until it opens up into two

Halves just like that if there’s a little bit of discoloration it’s okay uh it’s usually just you know a bruise and then to get this out if it’s stuck in there good you can just take your knife and kind of smack it and then it’ll come right out but this is

Actually sometimes it just comes out just like that which is even easier so that’ll work all you got to do is you take a spoon and you’re just going to kind of work around the skin and when it’s ripe it’ll pop right out now if you have trouble with this it probably means

That your avocado is not uh not ripe enough for this now you don’t want to pulverize this cuz you want it to be a little bit chunky and look at that guys that’s what one avocado is going to look like so uh you know we’re going to do two

Wouldn’t be uh awful to use three but one of the things with guac is it you know you want to eat it pretty fast you want to eat it that day or the next day so you only want to make what you’re going to use that’s why it’s a great

Appetizer for the whole table cuz everyone can enjoy it and there’s not going to be any leftover anyway way okay so I’m going to use about uh half of a massive lime so you can see this lime’s really really big so I’d recommend using one lime and you don’t want to add so

Much lime juice that it becomes soupy but you want the lime to enhance the richness of the avocado okay now we are going to add the rest of our onions the rest of our cilantro and the rest of our Sano and this time we don’t want to

Pulverize it in we want to save some of that texture like I was talking about and we just want to mix it in and the same goes for the tomatoes we’re going to work all this in there but we don’t want to smash we want to Mix and start to kind of fold it in and this is going to be the exact kind of texture we’re looking for so the only thing other than that is a little bit of salt and pepper to taste remember we got a little bit of salt in there already so don’t go too

Overboard and there you have it folks perfect fresh tableside guac for everyone to enjoy have it with your favorite tacos and quesadillas or even eat it right by itself all right y’all you already know this is my favorite part so we have my favorite corn tortilla chips red hot Blues definitely

Recommend them but use whatever corn tortilla chip you’d like here uh we’re going to just get right into it let’s see what we got going on first bite make sure to get some of that tomato and onion and a little chunk I can’t help but smile oh my

God and I like little bigger chunks of tomato but once again like I said if you want to do it smaller you can do that but I like having those little chunks like that I could eat that all day long guys thanks for watching I hope to earn your
