Taco Tuna Salad Boats in Less than 30 Minutes
Taco Tuna Salad Boats Recipe with Avocado

One of my favourite easy, high protein, low carb meal preps. And with just a couple of simple ingredients, you can make it super flavorful. I love using taco seasoning with my tuna, if you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend it.

I used some romaine lettuce leaves, but you can use your favourite bread, or tortilla, or just eat it as is.

Here is how I made Taco Tuna Salad Boats:

1. Grab a big bowl and add 3 cans of your favourite tuna. I made a big batch, but feel free to reduce it or increase it based on your own needs.

2. Finely dice 3 baby dill pickles, 1 small shallot, and 1/2 large jalapeño. I kept the seeds in my jalapeño since I wanted things a little spicy, but you do you.

3. Add 3-4 tablespoons of mayo and 3 tablespoons of plain Greek yogurt. The ratio is 1 tablespoon of mayo and 1 tablespoon of Greek yoghurt for each can of tuna. If you prefer to just use mayo, you can do that.

4. Add 2 tablespoons of high-quality taco seasoning and a pinch of two of salt.

5. Give it a really good mix to make sure everything is well incorporated.

6. Grab some romaine lettuce leaves and put a heaping tablespoon of the tuna salad on each.

7. Top it with whatever you like. I added a couple of thin avocado slices, finely chopped fresh cilantro, and red chilli flakes. Some hot sauce came after the recording too.
