– Hi I’m Merle and I’m the producer for this video so I’m gonna give you a couple producer tips. So I used fresh ingredients for this recipe and I highly recommend it if it’s possible for you. Fresh basil and fresh tomatoes are gonna make the flavor of the soup 10 times better.

The other thing I’d recommend is the roasting step. Now it is optional. You don’t necessarily have to roast your vegetables before you put them in the slow cooker but if you do you’re gonna get this delicious, full, bold, robust flavor. It really, really brings the best out of all the vegetables.

And if you’re unable to get fresh ingredients, roasting the ingredients is a really great way to kind of cheat around that. Finally this cute little basil hack that I included in the video is such a game changer. It makes it really easy to cut all of your basil up at the same time.

But also they come out in these pretty little ribbons that are perfect for garnishing. I hope you give this recipe a try. If you use these three tips I guarantee you, you’re gonna have a wonderful dish that you will make again, and again and again.

  1. Hey there! I was wondering if I could get some help finding the name/link of the song used in this video? I know it's licensed via Audio Network but I can't seem to find it anywhere.. I've looked everywhere and it's honestly killing me because I know I've heard it somewhere before… Anyone please let me know if you have any ideas. Thank you and have a great day 🙂

  2. This is probably the recipe that once I have my own kitchen, I’m making this in bulk and freezing and canning it to always have on hand🤤🤤🤤I love a good tomato soup and this one just seems to have all the right stuff.

  3. This looks too thick for my taste. Is there any way to reduce the thickness without taking away the flavor

  4. Oh my goodness, this was delicious!! Is it possible to can these for the winter? I will be making again with the next batch of homegrown tomato's.
