This is Ronnie from Southern food junkie and today we’re bringing you a review of a brand of tea bags I’ve worked with this company before we did a short on this about six or seven months ago they got a brand new product out it’s actually a new flavor of tea I’m here to

Show it to you I came can’t wait to try this it’s going to be good let’s get right to it all right so Southern Tea Company is a Tea Company out of Florida they’re a small local owned Tea Company it’s a woman-owned business familyowned and operated they make these family siiz

Tea bags they’re really big tea bags it makes a really good strong tea and if you’re like me I love a good strong tea I hate tea that’s really light in color and that don’t have a lot of flavor to it but this tea right here makes the

Perfect style for me and like I said they sent uh some of this for us to try out I don’t know it may be back in a summertime maybe back in the springtime can’t quite remember but they had told me then that they were going to be

Coming out with a flavor tea and this is called Georgia peach tea and when you I’ve already opened this up I already actually got some brewing and when you open this up it’s got a a very strong Peach me now my dad back in the day used to chew

Chewing debaca like a lot of Southern men did and one of his favorite flavors was uh a brand called peachy and it was a peach flavored chewing tobacco and this smells so much similar to that so let’s get back to the Georgia peach tea so we got something brewing and we going

To try it out and like I said I already love the the regular brand and mainly because it makes such a strong tea so anyway I’ve made several videos on how I like to make tea I’ll leave a link up here so you can check that out we’re

Going to get down right here and make this and then we’re going to test it out and see what it tastes like and see if we recommend it to our viewers my fingers are crossed for this I think I’m really going to like this first thing

You going to do is get four cups of water and place it in a stock pot bring the water up to a rolling boil after the water has boiled cut your burner off and grab one Southern sweet tea Georgia Peach flavor tea bag and place it in the pot we’re going to let

This steep for 9 minutes the southern Sweet Tea Company recommends putting 1 and 3/4 cups of sugar I would say most people put anywhere from a cup to about two cups of sugar to make tea if you want it more sweeter similar to like McDonald’s tea

Two cups would be what you do we like ours a little bit on the lighter side we normally do 3/4 of a a cup to one cup now that my tea bag has steeped for 9 minutes it’s time to pour that hot solution over the sugar then we’ll give that a good stir

And what that does is it helps to dissolve the sugar once we do that then we will fill our pitcher the rest of the way up with water so now I like to get in here and mix this up and this helps to dissolve all that

Sugar this is truly how you make sweet tea tea a lot of times if you go up up north you’ll get a glass of unsweetened tea and then they’ll give you a packet of sugar to put in it and it just doesn’t mix up all the sugar settles on

The bottom and basically you still just have unsweet tea the sugar has not dissolved and mixed in with the water solution so this you have to have it hot first you can use filter water or you can use it right out the tap whichever one you prefer filter is going to be

Better this is typically how we make ours all right all there left to do is to try this out still has a real strong Peach smell um after it’s been brewed like it does in the bag so let’s see how it tastes that’s really good it’s actually

It’s it’s not as strong of a peach flavor drinking it as I imagined it was going to be it’s just the hint of it actually I like that really good it’s it’s almost like taking slice of a lemon and adding it into your tea and you just

Have just a hint of that lemon flavor that’s what you have here you still taste the tea flavor you know that I love now I will also say that when you make tea and you make it fresh like this the next day it’s going to be a lot better

It’s going to be I don’t know why but it’s going to be sweeter after it sits in the refrigerator all night the next day it’s always better than it is right out of the uh the pitcher so um I don’t know that’s that’s my opinion on it you

You can comment below if you disagree with that but in my experience once it sits in the refrigerator the tea flavor um it gets a little stronger overnight I don’t know what happens chemically or whatever in that but um yeah I really really enjoy this the kids and the wife don’t know I

Made this so it’s going to be interesting to see I’m going to put this in the refrigerator and it’s going to be interesting to see what they think about it if they like it or not and I’m not going to tell them that it’s in there
