Spirits this is hero a medicinal man from the Navajo Nation I had the honor of speaking with him and his brother Shan Clen about their experiences as indigenous paranormal investigators on today’s episode they talk about what led them to create their YouTube channel unearthing the supernatural what paranormal reality shows today get wrong
Their favorite pieces of evidence they’ve captured and their most memorable interactions with Spirit so uh my name is Sean Clen and I gave my Clans and my tribe and uh that’s how we introduce each other in our in our way so uh we come from the Navajo Nation the four uh Four Corners region in little area called black Mesa so
Jillene so over there that’s where all of our lineage and all of our family come from and uh my brother is a medicinal man of our tribe so him and I are brothers and us being four years apart I’ve pretty much been there with my brother the entire time uh most of it
I was too young but when I was able or when I was actually of age I finally went on my brother with his Journeys on his medicine man duties and all his ceremonies that he did and throughout the years we’ve just grown so much to
Where we are where we are now so we have a paranormal team that we’re just trying to show a little bit of the indigenous side of paranormal hunting my name is hero um my clients are because we’re brothers we do have the same Clans uh originally were salt
Clan is our mother’s Clan and then our father and his father they’re of German descent and then our grandfather is of the red Street people in the den Clan uh area um yeah my brother and I we’ve uh pretty much uh since I’ve been gotten my
Gift and uh trained to be uh hatasi it’s called a medicinal person of our tribe uh it’s been a long hard journey very intense Journey trying to learn a lot of old songs a lot of old ceremonies some stories that come from our tribe and from other tribes all across Turtle
Island um when I was 13 I was selected to be part of kind of like a cultural Exchange program where I would go out to different tribes and we would learn about the old stories and actually live like at those sacred sites and actually experience a lot of the spiritual
Teachings and kind of just witness to a lot of beautiful sacred happenings and when I came back I was a guard deemed a guardian of our tribe so the mountains I take care of are the which is the San Francisco Peaks in Flagstaff Arizona and so I’m considered the guardian of the
West uh and with that kind of learned a lot of different ceremonies mainly dealing kind of with the darker side of how to combat that go against it and bring balance back and so the West also represents War it represents adult and that kind of aspect of thinking and the
Life process way and from there that’s where those stories and those songs of interacting with ghost interacting with the darker side of things and how to combat that came about and so I would go help a lot of people on the reservations even off the reservations dealing with
That aspect mainly and uh my brother uh would go with me uh when he got old enough and when I trained him up a little bit he kind of came with me and from there we helped a lot of different people a lot of different families and encountered a lot of different things
And I think that inspired my brother to where he came to me one day he says brother we do all these things and we grew up watching Ghost Adventures Ghost Hunters and these different television shows out there but it seems to be that they’re missing some things how they
Interact with Spirits how they interact with the traditional beings how we as indigenous people have always interacted with Spirits wonder what would happen if we were to take ourselves to these haunted locations and let’s just bring a camera and see what happens when we interact with the spirits and so was an
Interesting idea there’s a couple years of just trying to think about it see if it’s okay how to go about it and eventually uh we Dove right into it so my brother went on his first paranormal investigation and I hopped in with him the next time he went and we decided to
Use some of those songs and ceremonies and just how we were taught and raised how to interact with Spirits we did that and we got some amazing evidence and it’s pretty much been an amazing ride ever since we’ve gone to several haunted locations had some amazing evidence amazing interactions and people are
Really starting to catch on and really starting to enjoy that aspect of indigenous people interacting with Spirits I think one of the main things that a lot of people kind of fail to acknowledge even to this day even outside of paranormal shows on a professional side is the acknowledgment
Of what was on the land before that building was there now a lot we’ve come to find out on a lot of our Journeys that the reason why a lot of these locations are haunted are because they were on a sacred site at one point in time hundreds of thousands of years ago
There was a we have these sacred sites where Med medicinal people would always do ceremonies always do offering offerings and they would always I guess you can kind of say it’s like a beacon spot it’s a meeting spot where they go to communicate with spirits and unfortunately things
Happened and uh the medicinal people could not go to those locations anymore so then people start building cities they start building all these other uh things on top of it and the spirits that used to get offerings a lot aren’t getting those now and so a lot of times
Those Spirits are not getting the proper offerings they’re not getting the proper ceremonies they used to so that’s one of our new slogans that we actually integrated into our channel is think Beyond written history what was there before you know all the all the the buildings and all the recent murders and
Or tragedies that happened at locations and I think that was always one of the big things was like when somebody would go to like a haunted building a lot of times they would run into an indigenous Spirit but they themselves did not know the language so they missed out on all
That communication they did not know the history of the tribe or they did not know the history of the land they were on so they’re missing on a whole aspect of Engagement that they could have with that spiritual being that’s been there a lot longer than you could say a human
Spirit in itself and so that’s one of the things that my brother and I uh when we started our channel was like okay you know let’s let’s show people that there’s more to it okay there’s a lot more than uh Beyond written history I guess you can
Say so I want to share something that happened when I was filming the ghost town Terror a paranormal reality TV show it takes place at a haunted ghost town BNB in the city of Anaconda Montana which is on cish territory during our investigation we had a theory that the
Haunting was coming from the land maybe the fact that these buildings were brought there was causing a disturbance to the land Spirits I approached one of the producers and said if we’re going to talk about that we should probably bring in an indigenous person who’s familiar with the history of this land beyond
What is written and they told me that the network wants to stay away from anything Native American related because of the Indian burial ground stereotype and I just remember feeling so deflated because in their attempt at avoiding controversy they are actively excluding the very voices that need to be heard
It’s also a good reminder to those of you who like to watch these shows that they should not be your only source for information it is severely filtered down by the time it gets to your TV on television there’s a aspect of fear there’s an aspect of disrespect that
Seems to happen on there in order to gain views in order to to be more entertaining they kind of go a little too far in interaction with these Spirits they’ll make fun of them and we call it like poking the bear and so you got to understand that like how my
Brother said these places some of them were really old sacred sites and very very powerful beings that demanded respect from the whoever were to go visit there and now you have these people that don’t know the songs or ceremonies that don’t know how to interact with Spirits properly they’ll
Go in and it’s like poking a god poking a very powerful being and trying and making fun of it and uh where we get worried watching that is like I they teach us don’t go out there messing with Spirits unless you know what you’re doing unless you know the proper
Offerings the songs and ceremonies and if if you go messing around with that you get sick and so that always aares us when we see it it’s like you you go to these locations if it’s a haunted building even if it is just haunted by a more recent Spirit you always whenever
You go into a building us at un Supernatural we knock we knock on the door that’s something that was taught to us by our grandma our mom the the females in our in our family you you go into someone’s home you always knock you don’t just barge in you don’t just open
The door every single time you knock and when you leave you say thank you and that’s just like you don’t know who whose home you’re walking into you don’t know what the spirits are doing and just to barge into someone’s home that’s a huge disrespect and so you that’s why we
Always knock and when we leave every single time we always give an offering usually tobacco or some type of food or corn pollen of some kind we always do something to acknowledge and thank the beings that are there for their time for their stories for their interactions and
In return we always like to go in with a good heart and good mind they always say that these Spirits they know your true intentions if you’re there just to make money if you’re there just for a thrill show if you’re there for not the right purposes no matter what comes out of
Your mouth they know in your heart what you’re there for and so if you’re there to actually help wanting to have their story told they’ll know that and they’ll be more open to you and then just giving that offering is going to be a huge step
In giving respect to the beings that are there and giving respect to the other side because one day we’re going to go make that Journey for right now we enjoy our physical bodies Our physical selves in this particular realm honestly using equipment and everything uh growing up watching you know the television shows
And everything I was always kind of skeptical about it because I’ve never had that equipment firsthand and I remember on my very first investigation you know very low budget I just downloaded like a ghost hunting app on my iPad and we went to an old cave near our
Reservation and the thing that made me believe that these Spirits can interact with these pieces of equipment is when it’s kind of like a a Spirit Box I guess you can say that we were using and I was asking questions and at this uh certain
Location there was known to be a lot of Apache Warriors because navajos and Apaches a long time ago they used to kind of war with each other they used to quarrel a lot so kind of quick story is there there was um an Apache raid that happened on an AV encampment the navajos
Tracked him down trapped him in the cave and killed them all so we went in there as navajos the people that killed him you know first investigation yeah let’s go to the crazy place um so we went in there and I was using that Spirit Box and Navajo and Apache languages are very
Very similar they have uh some few dialect uh difference is but it’s still majority of it you can probably understand each other so I started asking questions in Navajo it spoke back to me in a pachy in that app and everything and so that right there was
Honestly the part that like really blew my mind was like holy crap you know this stuff can actually work and one another uh time that that actually kind of happens on every investigation we go on um but one of the major key evidence that we found was at Vulture City Ghost
Town and at this time uh I used to run the ghost tours over there so what we’ve come to find out at Vulture City is that used to be an old burial ground for a lot of our ancient monsters during our creation stories so in our creation
Stories there used to be mon before humans fully came to this earth there used to be monsters that used to roam around the lands and everything they used to go to the spiritual Villages and eat people so our people had to train up Warriors to be able to go against those monsters
And those deities and in our traditional ways we had two such Warriors that were I guess you can kind of in English you can consider them demigods so they were n n and to so monster Slayer and born for water were their names they were two twin brothers and they said that they
Are the the sons of the sun god itself the actual son so kind of long story short they gathered some weapons from their father that could be able to kill these monsters and so during the monster Wars after they killed all the monsters they had to bury them in the earth to be
Able to make sure that evil doesn’t go to their bodies and harvest all these dark things to make themselves powerful so that’s why they always say in our traditional stories you don’t go digging around in in the Earth because you never know what you’ll find sure enough
There’s a mine that’s there at Vulture City and Vulture City is one of those those burial sites of those monsters so I think we went over there for an overnight Ghost Hunt I believe it was kind of it was a public event and when we were there um the spirits were acting
Different because I I would go there like twice a month and then for some reason this night they were acting pretty weird we were asking them questions on the Spirit Box like hey how you guys doing you know kind of the whole normal conversations we have with
Them and they were like run hide something’s out there something’s coming and we were just like what who’s coming what’s coming and they were giving us all these warnings and we were just like are they for you are they for us and I remember we were sitting in one of the
Main buildings and one of our members Cola he asked do you guys need protection and you hear the Cry of a Thunderbird come through the Spirit Box and so a quick story about what a Thunderbird is in our creation stories it used to be a giant bird that had the
Power of lightning and thunder used to live in Shiprock New Mexico so I’m not too sure if you you’ve seen like those Cliff face over there it’s in Jumanji too and everything like that when they were riding the camels but yeah but that Cliff face that monster that bird used
To live up there it used to go to Villages grab people and throw them against the cliff and kill them and then grab the bodies and feed it to their young so that one of those birds was buried in Vulture City as well so the spirit of that bird came through and
Another thing that kind of correlates with that I’m not too sure if you know who Johnny zapis is uh the nephew of and Lorraine Warren so he was actually there and we performed an opening ceremony that night for the overnight to make sure everyone’s prepared and safe now
What led up to the theories of it being a Thunderbird was during the ceremony Johnny zapus looked up into the sky and he saw a silhouette of a giant bird fly over Vulture City couple eyewitnesses saw that as well so we’re just like what is that what what is that not too long
Later we actually hear the Cry of the Thunderbird come through and we actually have it on our episodes kind of like that full night and immediately like it was excitement because holy cow we caught a voice of a Thunderbird cry but then immediately after Was Fear because
We know what that monster did to our peoples long time ago we know its potential and it’s dangerous and its messages that it has so I got to give it up for the Spirit Box I I’m not going to say that like some Spirits can’t speak
Through it I will say though that some Spirits aren’t used to it because whenever you go to locations that aren’t heavily investigated a lot of times Spirits don’t know how to kind of interact with these devices and everything or you know some of them prefer this one because it’s easier to
Use less energy on them and everything like that compared to like if you go to like Bobby Mackey’s some place that always has energy always has investigators you have Spirits in there that just know how to use all these different types of things so equipment
Is pretty cool so for me I would have to agree with my brother the the Spirit Box is one of my favorite tools that we like to use out there because it does allow the spirits an Avenue to speak to us and that language that they say that you
Learn when you go on your journey if I guess in English we’ve learned to kind of say it’s like the spiritual language and so all types of different beings like in the they say in the creation stories um were made with that particular language and so it responds
To that very well and so when we go out to investigate I’ll utilize that language and we’ve got some amazing responses with it interacting with really old Spirits interacting even with some more recent spirits that aren’t indigenous uh somehow they’re able to pick up on that language and what’s very
Interesting is that language is near Extinction um there’s not a whole lot of people that know that language it was an old language that was used between tribes instead of just sign language there was an old language that they used to do politics and talk to each other
It’s a very high up um like the Chiefs or the the high Warriors would speak on councils with that particular language but when we go out and investigating I’ll use that language and we’ll use some of those songs and ceremonies and it’s always interesting to hear that
Language come through on the Spirit box that’s when it’s like yeah there’s no radio stations because you kind of do have to listen out for that because it is kind of sweeping through amfm frequencies and you will pick up the radio station sometimes it depends on
How your devices but when they speak in that language and an almost extinct language it it validates kind of the beings that we’re interacting with and it’s it’s it’s a way to communicate at and more so than just us hearing it and those that are gifted hearing it it’s a
Way for the audience to see who we’re interacting with and so one particular instance one of my favorite pieces of evidence was at the hila County Jail in Globe Arizona and over there uh we’re investigating and then we go up into the Second Story up there and we’re kind of
Interacting with the spirits and we’re starting to see that there’s something really dark there I would say one of the first times we’re really interacting at least on our episodes with an actual demonic entity it would uh mimic our voices and it actually mimicked my brother Sean Clen his voice and our
Method of going in is we learn not to have all our traditional gear we learn to use our stage names and we also just try to kind of hide kind of what we’re doing there and that’s an a testament to seeing how powerful these Spirits are if
They learn our real names if they know our spiritual names and if they know exactly what we’re going to do well this is pretty early on in the in the investigation and we haven’t mentioned anything about a ceremony we didn’t mention anything about us being really indigenous we just go in there just
Basic and it copied my brother’s voice and you he’s on camera and you see his mouth you see him looking off he’s not saying anything but on the spirit box it copied his voice and says use that ghost Ceremony and so we’re like what and we thought I thought it was my brother but I’m looking at him he didn’t speak and he kind of like shook out of whatever he was going through and we’re like okay so these beings somehow know that we know a
Ceremony and also they copied his voice later on in the night we get on to the third story of the of the jail and one of our one of our members who our late members who passed away uh last year to his diabetes when he was still there he
Was kind of see he was we view him as like the spiritual punching bag he was very very open and spirit seemed to pick on him a lot but um we go up there he gets shoved into a cabinet and you you hear him get picked up and tossed into a
Cabinet that was major negative energy that was it like full on pushed me towards this way and you see him on camera just really shooking up kind of scared and like what happened it’s the first time that he’s ever been lifted off his feet by an unknown presence and
So we kind of get him out of there he calms down and like what’s going on and he he he calms down and a testament to who his personality is he says I want to go up there there back up there and I want to go up there alone and face
Whatever shoved me and so I let him cuz as a warrior that’s what you do is you go back up there and you face whatever was affecting you you face your enemy head on so he went up there and we set up a camera kind of like a a stationary
Camera kind of pointing at the door and he’s up there and I told him I’m going to let you be up there with it by yourself but I’m not going to be too far away and he goes in there he’s like why did you push me what what’s going on and
He starts feeling and seeing a dark shadow start coming from that room again and coming at him and then when he says it’s coming it’s coming and he he starts seeing kind of hearing the fear in his voice again I got pissed off cuz you don’t touch my friends you don’t touch
My Warriors and how dare you pretty much and so I went up there and I’m cussing up a storm and I I got went to hardcore my our mom mom mode to where our mom’s uh kind of taught us to cuss like Sailors sometimes so pardon that aspect
But I’m going up there I’m pissed off and I remember turning the corner to that room and I see this huge Dark Shadow this huge dark Mass that’s right there and just my first instinct is I go up there and I remember kind of shoving my hands in its chest area and I
Remember feeling like stone or metal something hard and and I shoved it I pushed it back and I’m pissed off and on camera I’m I’m glad that that camera was there on camera you see me shove something and you hear it crashing into the objects in the room you hear it
Falling and crashing into objects back and my brother followed me in with the sb7 and I’m in there kind of looking to see if there’s anything else is like I’m just kind of adrenalin out ready to fight and I’m like you don’t touch my friends and you hear on the Spirit Box
Say oh my God and that was amazing capture it’s like when you get tossed down the ground and it’s freaking out that it got touched by a a human being normally the ghosts do the touching I think that’s the first time that it experienced and the first time that I
Know of of anyone touching the spirits back and so that was an amazing piece of evidence that we caught it’s something that has gone viral on our social medias that particular clip and it’s something that wasn’t on purpose it was just defending my friend and um just like Hey
We’re not here to fight but if you won’t choose to lay hands on us I’ll lay hands back we did a ceremony to to help help the innocent spirits that were there and we said you just stay back this is your place where you choose to be we’re going

The name of this entity should be spoken aloud so I asked Sean Clin what his thoughts were yeah so typically you aren’t really supposed to say it unless you know how to use these you know how to protect yourself and go against those things so us because of the ceremonies
My brother knows the the songs and the prayers and everything we’ve gone through over the years and dealing with these things we know how to go against them we know how to counteract their evil medicines their prayers their ceremonies and everything so if you know
How to do that sure you can go ahead and talk all the smack you want you know but for somebody who who doesn’t really know anything about that you know it’s just like kind of like one of those things just like you don’t go calling out for
The bear or the wolf in the middle of the forest to come and then you know they’re going to come and get you so yeah definitely be careful out there everybody and because I am not equipped to tackle those entities I will be refraining from saying the name here’s Shan cen’s experience
Getting rid of the lingering energy of one of these one of the very first missions I went on with my brother was actually to one of our families up in the northern section of our reservation kind of toward coppermine page area and uh they told us that they had a distant
Relative that recently passed away and he owned a shed on that Homeland and to kind of give you guys a little imagery of how it looks there’s it’s very very Royal kind of desert area very little trees here and there uh very dusty very Sandy and I would have to say your
Nearest neighbor would have to be a couple miles away so our relatives out there called us for help because there is a shed or a little Shack on their land that had a lot of the belongings of a distant relative that recently passed away and they tried getting a couple
Different medicine people to come and get rid of the items that are located inside of the shed but a lot of times the medicinal people said they can’t they can’t because it’s too powerful it’s too dark it’s too evil you know you got to find somebody who knows and knows
How to deal with the darker side of things so then that’s when they reached out to my brother so we went out there and my brother I remember he started telling me stories of the the Yan gloi or the skin walker and we were we were kind of hypothesizing really trying to
Figure out uh what the problems may be and just try to figure it out kind of like a little pre-investigation pre kind of pregaming getting our mind in the right Minds in the right uh place for the ceremony so when we get there the sun had already set it’s dark outside
There’s no moon outside and not too far away from there there’s a sacred Canyon over there and my brother told me in my trainings he said at that Canyon over there it splits off at certain sections there’s a way you can go down you can learn the good path and there’s another
Way you could take you can learn the good uh the evil and the good paths if you go down the evil path you’ll learn how to become a Skinwalker you’ll learn how to learn the dark ways or you can go down the good path and you can learn how
To be a good medicine man so with that when you go to these places you have to know what’s around in the location around you just so you can get and get an idea of some of the things some of the problems you might run into so we
Show up at the shack and there’s no electricity out there it’s kind of really way out there so we parked our vehicles and we turned on the headlights and we faced it toward the shed and this being my very first mission I went on with my brother and uh my uncle as well
Uh they told me that I was not ready to be able to handle dark energy that comes at me because I was still pretty new at the time so they told me to wait outside and they said make sure nothing comes running in to try to stop us from
Unveiling what’s inside of this Shack okay so um uh we’re were waiting out there and I remember my brother tells me he was kind of voicing what was happening on the inside so I can get a good visualization of what’s going on so he told me there were three chests in
There I guess you can imagine they’re from like 1950s old school chests inside out of there and the first chest they opened up just some normal clothes you know just normal I guess belongings I guess I guess you can say so there wasn’t really too much dark energy in
There so they picked up that chest and they moved it away but when they mov that away I remember I was standing outside and the Shadows around the car or the truck with the headlights seemed like the shadows and the light started fading away and the Darkness that of
Kept creeping close closer and I could just feel very uneasy and when my brother and my uncle reach for the second chest they opened it up and I remember when they opened that up you heard a woman scream and there were there were no females with us
In that group so that gave me chills like with us we we uh we Dawn on spiritual weapons and armor and I remember I was holding my my blade and I was like I clenched it a little bit harder because I was just like just knowing you heard a female scream but
There’s no females around just really freak me out and he told me there was a picture of a woman inside of there with four Sacred Stones inside of there so my brother and my uncle gathered up those items they put it into a buck skin and
They mooved that chest out of the way and then came the final chest they grabbed the final chest and they open it up and when they open it up there was the skinwalker regalia there was the skins that they wore the antlers and I remember my brother grabbed the antlers
And he took it to me and he showed me four distinct blood drops on top of the antlers and he he told me that each blood drop was somebody that this person had killed so afterwards we went and uh we went back to the homestead because
That was the source of the darkness that was clouding the family that was there so we ended up doing a ceremony there to release the spirit of the buck of the of the de and sending it back against its enemies because we never pray against people in
In the traditional ways you never pray against somebody how your prayer is supposed to be structured is whatever evil they send at me send it back so essentially that’s what that ceremony was you know the the buck was sent back to its killer and everything so in a short
Sense that’s what we we kind of dealt with and then I remember while we were doing that ceremony my brother told me a story of the origins of the Yanagi or the skinwalker so the Navajo Nation is the biggest reservation in all of I believe Turtle Island so all the United States
So there are four sacred mountains that pretty much are the borders of the Navajo Nation these four sacred mountains are located two of them are in Arizona one in Colorado and one in New Mexico so long time ago medicinal people were taught how to shape shift into
These animals in a holy way to be able to Traverse the land so far to be able to get gather herbs gather uh do sacred ceremonies at each of these sacred mountains but it was a long and an extensive training process to be able to
Learn how to do that a lot of people were just like ah man I don’t want to go through this I don’t want to learn how to do all these things it’s going to take too long I don’t want to go through that so evil and dark Darkness had heard
That they’re like I can teach you a way how to do it real quick and so they took that person uh that had ill intent Darkness inside of their mind that wanted to go against people out of jealousy out of anger and they taught
Them the ways of how to skin walk or to jump in the skin yenna glossi so with that they there was a few stipulations that you had to do to be able to become a skin walker to become a skin walker you had to sacrifice a loved one you had
To sacrifice your newborn your wife your mother your grandfather your father anybody that you held closest to your heart you had to sacrifice them you had to go kind of like how I mentioned before in those Canyons you had to go down that dark path and there are some
More sacrifices that you had to make along the way to be able to learn how to jump in the skin how to skin walk like that and so with that people you can learn how to shape shift in matter of weeks it used to take months it used to
Take years to learn how to do it the correct way the holy way and so that kind of grew in popularity throughout all these years and that’s kind of what why we wear uh if you watch our videos we wear armor we have spiritually Blessed Like weapons and everything when
We go on our investigations because skinwalkers are of the physical and spiritual realm so we had to kind of go against that we had deal with that in our reservation that’s where we specialize in dealing with those things so that’s a little bit of the true origin story of where skinwalkers come
From so if you kind of if you ever see stories about people saying that like there’s a skin walker in like Florida or you know all these other kind of places you know you’re not re they’re I highly doubt that they’re Skin Walkers maybe something very similar but Skin Walkers
Themselves originate in the Navajo Nation now there could be a Navajo out there who’s really mad and knows how of skin walk and just lives out in the East Coast or something like that and maybe he’s skin walking and doing all that over there but very unlikely something I found really
Interesting about this was the fact that to go down this evil path you had to sacrifice a loved one in a book I’m reading called sabano sorcery malign magic it talks about how a lot of mamba badang or malefic Sorcerers in the Bayan region of the Philippines will make
Deals with male vent entities to do their evil bidding to seal the contract you must also sacrifice a loved one I’m always fascinated in the ways indigenous practices from different places overlap that’s where we find the universal truths shortcuts always come with a heavy price so to several indigenous
Tribes indigenous peoples this aspect of death is a very holy process it’s a very sacred process when someone as there the time on this Earth ends and their Spirit goes on they say when a person passes on their spirit is usually met with either a relative or a
Horse or some sort of sacred guide that is there with them at their moment of death and their Spirit leaves their body the spirit goes with one of those guides and they say that that Spirit goes to the start of the journey point now where that is several tribes uh kind of have
Different stories about that process of where the starting point is but kind of the general consensus is that you go to the start of the journey point and from there you face everything you’ve done in your life and if you’ve lived a good holy life you were a kind person you
Were helpful and you did everything you could to help your people lot and your journey is going to be good your journey is going to be smooth but if you lived uh the not so good life you did a lot of bad things or maybe even you did some
Evil or some things you weren’t supposed to do kind of going against the natural laws then that aspect of the journey is going to be really hard if you can even finish it so a way to kind of conceptualize this journey um it’s like you face obstacles things that are
That’ll te teach you how to become a spirit and so the ones that don’t make it it’s similar to to Purgatory um how how some religions view Purgatory you’re stuck there and so you go through this journey you learn a a very spiritual language you learn how to become the
Spirit and from then on when you finish your journey uh they say that there’s things out there that um we’re as us as living beings we’re not supposed to know exactly what happens after you finish your journey some say you go to heaven or the the happy hunting grounds or a
Good place where Spirits go and that’s that’s their realm the next World some say you get you can choose to be reincarnated to be a warrior or a different type of being on this Earth so there’s different aspects of that but then there’s the aspect of what happens
With your body what happens with that aspect and how we do funerals every tribe has different ways of of of putting the body away usually it’s done very quick some tribes do it they say within four days uh some it’s a little bit different but usually you put the
Body away and a different type of spirit is there during the aspect of of death and that spirit that being I guess in English English we translate it to a death being that one starts the process of Decay that one handles and protects the body from any other Spirits kind of going
Into it and kind of messing with that physical body and so there’s a lot of songs and ceremonies involved with that and then there are some times where a death Spirit may or may not interact with that body and they say your memory every aspect of you up to that point is
Still within your mind your brain your physical Brain still in your blood and your bones everything of that aspects of that is still there and sometimes spirits will hop in and they’ll take that memory they’ll take that likeness of that person and they’ll do what’s called like a mimic a being that mimics
A dead person and a time that we interacted with a being like that is is I have uh my in-laws they they dealt with a loss in the family and a few days after that loss there was it seems like a ghost or some uh entity would go to
That person’s truck and honk honk the honk the horns in a very particular way or they would kind of do things that’s very similar to how this person that passed would and so kind of mimic and copy their their attributes but it’s strange because the body was put away
They should be on their journey and why why are they still around why are they stuck and so that’s where I was called in to do a ceremony and I sat there and kind of looked around and we did a ceremony and we did confirm that the
Spirit is on their Journey so we were like okay then what’s this thing that’s here and it would always be outside it would never be able to come in and so and when I was doing my songs and I was doing my ceremony it started showing up
It started banging on the doors it started banging on the windows and I’ll hand it to my brother because my brother went went with me at the time he was there and why don’t you describe what you saw brother oh so kind of going back how the reservation homesteads are there
Is not a lot of neighbors around and this had to have happened like around two one or 2 o’clock in the morning early in the morning and there were no relatives coming by or anything like that during the ceremony they they told their family members we’re going to be
Having a ceremony don’t come over and I remember when my brother was singing his songs he was doing the prayers he was singing really good and really strong and it was a it was a full moon that night and I remember we were sitting in the living room and this gives me chills
To this day you see a silhouette of somebody walking across the window right by the front door and I wasn’t the only one that saw that my brother’s in-laws also saw that as well when everybody kind of gasp they’re like what is that you know and then you hear you hear the
Door start to jiggle and then I remember my brother told us that the person who passed away used to knock on the door very specific type of way very particular way and that Spirit was mimicking that knock that was like that and so that’s when my brother started
Singing Stronger that that Spirit was trying to get in and that’s when it kind of started really showing itself because when it walked back across the window seal it didn’t the first time it looked like a human but the second time when it walked back it started losing a lot of
Its human features it started going into more Shadow more kind of more Darkness was spreading around it and so that after that my brother ran the ceremony and I remember toward the end uh I I can’t go into full detail about it but after the ceremony that Spirit ended up
Leaving and my brother sent sent it back to the north so yeah so that’s my little firstand account during that ceremony I was like definitely one of the creepiest I was like okay I’ve only seen this in like The Conjuring or some other movies like that working with the spirit world
Can be scary but that’s just one side of the spectrum Spirits range from malevolent to benevolent just like humans they’re not always the villain sometimes they need help uh we were investigating the globe train depot and we were investigating we’re getting some things here and there um but we could
Really tell that the spirits are really hesitant of us they’re kind of scared they’re kind of weary of us you know because not too far away all that happened at the Glo uh the globe uh jail where my brother shov that demon I’m pretty sure spiritual word spread around
They’re kind of like oh these guys and everything so we went in in there and we’re just like okay you know let’s let’s kind of give the spirits a break you know let’s take a break from the investigation so we left the stationary camera up and we left the Spirit Box
Running while we went to go have a a quick smoke break outside uh to kind of cleanse oursel off and um it wasn’t until we were we were reviewing the evidence afterwards we came home and not too long after uh we started making our way back in the spirits started kind of
Talking amongst themselves and they were like you know who who are these guys and then another one said maybe they can help us and then they said okay we’ll get them ready and we were like who are they and I remember not too long after we came knocking on the door and then
Say and then they said that’s them they’re here here and so we walk in and then they said on the Spirit Box please take them take care of them and children Spirits came up to us they presented children’s spirits to us and um not too long after that so my
Brother did a ceremony to be able to get them on their Journey so they can see their families and their loved ones again so that one right there I was just like whenever it comes to kids man always hits my heart so it’s like they they don’t deserve that they they
Deserve a lot better so we did what we could to make them happy theoo so keeping on the topic of kids um we went to one of our more recent investigations is we were able to get access to an old residential school and so uh a huge topic now and I’m glad it’s
Starting to get revealed is the atrocities that happened at uh residential and boarding schools of um the children being taken away from their families indigenous and minority children being taken away from their families forcefully by the the military and the government and they were sent to
These schools and there were a lot of bad things that happened a lot of rape a lot of murder and um nowadays they’re starting to find mass Graves of all these children um at these residential schools unmarked Graves starting to use sonar devices to and uh finding these
Children’s bodies and some of the there’s a lot of efforts to bring these children home and so awareness of that is starting to come about so we went to a residential school uh the Boolean Plaza and when we went over there I kind of figured it was it was similar uh lot
Of dark stories of things that happen atrocities that happened to just little children a lot of a lot of bad things that was there and so we picked up on that when we were doing our investigation and um I decided uh I Dawn a a particular mask and we do a
Ceremony and um there was a bear Pelt that was up there and so I was talking to that bear pelt in our spiritual ways and you hear it kind of come through on one of our devices it speak back to us and you hear the growls uh from that
Bear Pelt and we we communicated and basically found out that that bear Pelt is taking care of these really scared children spirits and some other Spirits in that bullan Plaza are like there’s children here that need help there’s children’s spirits that are trapped here and so we got evidence of that
Throughout the investigation and said okay let’s go ahead and let’s let’s start the ceremony so we I started the ceremony started singing started doing this uh the prayers and I was up there with the bear Pelt and as I’m singing as I’m doing the songs I remember I I I
Wore a poncho at the time and it was tugged on and I turned and looked and I saw this real tiny kind of sad little little kid that was there crying and it it spoke in the in that language and asked us can can can you help we’re
Scared and I turned to look more there’s more little little kids there and it was hard to see that it was extremely hard to see our our old relatives little kids that were that were trapped there and I I spoke I’m a father so I spoke in that
Kind of kind of caring voice no it’s going to be okay we’re gonna we’re going to help you out so I spoke to them and we did the ceremony and um as I’m speaking to them you hear on on our devices it kind of them speaking you
Hear the spirits talking about them the children helping them out and um that whole ceremony went on we we didn’t record all of it just to protect the sacredness of it and the interactions that we had but we did the ceremony and we’re actually able to help them out but
To to to interact with lost Spirits like that especially children who who went through a really hard time in this life and even in the next one there were they’re having a hard time still it it’s heartbreaking but I’m glad we’re able to help them I’m glad we’re help help them
Go meet their ancestors go meet their families again and go on to the other side in in a good way like that so that’s uh something that I always love doing is doing what we can to help Spirits doing what we can to bring resolution and awareness to historical
Things that have happened and try to mend those those wounds at least a little bit just that alone these stories like that to be able to have these experiences like this to be able to tell people these stories but not only that but to actually show them you know be

What we learned in our lifetime with the next so the next future Generations whether or not we take a camera with us um I’m a medicinal person from our tribe so throughout the rest of my physical life on this Earth I’m going be helping people I’m going to be
Helping spirits and so that’s kind of my calling my duty and so I’m going to be doing that but with this opportunity to share a medium to share our experiences our interactions with people and kind of bringing awareness that it’s not just the old cowboy it’s not just the the the
The settlers that came over it’s not just the murder that happened 30 years ago it’s beyond that there are beings Beyond Time Beyond written history there are understandings of the world around and how the natural and Supernatural World interact with each other and bringing awareness to that because they always say
You can always tell the stories you can always tell that there’s sacredness to that but then there’s also a whole another aspect of being able to understand those stories and ceremonies by example let me show you where this story happened let me show you how to interact with the spirit properly and
With respect and with love and with understanding and just being able to help those old spirits who may be starving for for offering starving for for attention starving for at least acknowledgement that they’re still there our indigenous people may be put to reservations but we are still here and
We still want to provide those offerings to those old beings and acknowledge them and their role in our creation and their role and just the flow of everything we as humans were the bridges we’re the caretakers that’s our role that we’re put on this Earth to do and so with that
I want to be able to enjoy interacting with these Spirits have some tobacco smoke with them give them some offerings listen to their songs and their Tales of what they interact with on a daily basis I’m very blessed to to have the knowledge that I have and I’m always
Going to be learning even beyond my time on this Earth is going to always be learning it’s going to always be spent just learning and hearing stories from all these different beings and with that and unearthing the supernatural I hope to share sh some of that with the
