❤️ Thanks for watching!

Did you know that most restaurants add buttermilk to their pancakes here’s why buttermilk is fermented cow’s milk using lactic acid bacteria that’s going to give a nice tangy flavor and provide extra richness to your pancake the lactic acid bacteria in the buttermilk is going to react with the baking soda

In the batter giving more bubbles so you have a nice tall fluffy pancake buttermilk also has a molecule called diacetyl giving a really interesting buttery note to the pancakes without adding extra butter if you decide to use whole milk instead of buttermilk you’ll notice that it’s not as thick so your

Batter is going to be a little bit more runny and the flavor will be a little bit more bland because you don’t have that nice tanginess that the buttermuff provides give it a try and let me know how you like it

  1. Buttermilk is the leftover liquid you have after making butter. You can make your own by taking whole milk and adding some lemon or vinegar, but it won't really compare to real buttermilk in terms of flavor
