[Applause] hello faithful welcome back to tailgate treats presented by Safeway I’m your host Banna McDonald and I’m joined by Chef Alvin the executive chef of Levi Stadium Chef Alvin what are we cooking up today we got buffalo cauliflower bites a game day favorite but with a healthy twist what are the ingredients
And tools we need to make this recipe ingredients are simple you should probably have them at home uh cauliflower of course Salt granulated garlic paprika onion powder flour corn starch non-dairy milk melted vegan butter and your favorite buffalo sauce I’m super excited to try this let’s get
Started what’s the first step First Step let’s mix the dry ingredients together all right fairly simple ingredients not too bad so far yeah so just whx these together all right now how long should the faithful be mixing this dry ingredients for couple seconds just to get them all mixed well before
You add the wet ingredients all right wet ingredients time what’s first all right so we’re just going to throw this all in so our non-dairy milk your favorite buffalo sauce and the melted vegan butter nice I can see it coming together now so this is making a little batter that we’re
Going to dredge the cauliflower in all the colors are coming together and once we’ve mixed the wet and dry ingredients what’s the next step next step is uh we’re going to batter our cauliflower just dump them in and you’re using a spatula now is that what you recommend I’m using a
Rubber spatula to get them nice and coated get all the Nook and crannies in there so we’ve sprayed a pan down and then we’re transfering it onto a pan yep we’re going to bake these in the oven so separate them out make sure they’re fully coated give them a little bit of space
Want to get all the batter between all the cracks of the cauliflower then we’ll uh throw these in the oven all right looks great let’s take them back throw these in the oven uh 4 25 for about 15 to 20 minutes we’ve let them cook for about 15 20
Minutes now so let’s see the finished product all right oh wow those look amazing all right we made it back from the oven with our freshly baked cauliflower what’s the next step next step is to toss it in your favorite buffalo sauce this is the easy
Part and what’s the best best part about baking the cauliflower does it get crispy it gets crispy tender uh it’s not deep fried a little bit of a healthier alternative a little healthier alternative so it’s about the same process as baking chicken wings about the same process all right love it
Little healthier all right so wow okay okay Chef Alvin I see you you can toss it you can use your tongs but we have a nice bowl over here so uh you don’t need a lot of sauce since there’s buffalo sauce SAU in the batter already and last but not least serve it
Up there you go all right Chef Alvin this looks amazing and we did bring back our avocado SLO from the last episode so can you explain how this makes a great pairing uh coal SLO goes good with everything so barbecue theme Buffalo theme tailgate theme uh of course you
Can always you always have your blue cheese or your ranch dressing well I can’t wait for the faithful to try these recipes at home you can find all these ingredients at Safeway so thank you special shout out to Safeway for providing our ingredients today but that will do it happy cooking and go
Ners
