There’s a lot of talk about candied bacon you know these are store-bought ones and they expire one year from now we’re gonna be making brand new fresh ready-to-eat bacon you gotta stick around totally tasty something nice something sweet something just for you it’s time for the rundown on candied bacon

Things you’re gonna need to get started you’re gonna need a brush okay you’re gonna need a brush maple syrup you’re going to want a cooling rack for when it’s completed and you’re also going to want a sheet pan and you’re going to want to gently wrap that in aluminum foil

You’re also going to need thick cut bacon the thicker the better okay um we got this bacon right out of the deli counter you know it wasn’t in a free package most delis are going to have thick cut bacon you’re going to want to get the thick

Cut bacon right out of the deli step one you want to take your bacon and place it directly onto the cooling rack okay now that the bacon is evenly spread out you want to make sure they’re not going to touch each other because they’re going to stick together

We’re going to go ahead and we’re going to dip our brush into the maple syrup and we’re going to glaze the bacon it’s going to become a nice maple flavor this is where the maple flavor comes from it comes right from the glaze this can be a little bit messy so you

Might want to have like a place mat or something to keep the um the serve from ending up on the table right and we want to be sure to flip our pieces right over give them a flip and repeat on the other side what we’re going to do we already have

Our oven preheated to 350. we’re going to go ahead and place these directly into the oven so this is after how many minutes oh this is about after 10 minutes you know we just gave it another flip and another glaze all right and we’re going to give this one final coating right here

Um and one thing to keep in mind this is why you’re going to want to use a cooling rack you know there was some debate about using a cooling rack but now that we can see the crystallized sugar that falls underneath you’re going to want to use foil and a
