Size proportions seem a little off visually. Most of the plate is mashed potatoes. In that mold shape, I think they look unappetizing because I expect mashed potatoes to be fluffy and light; this makes them look heavy and tight. I think the elements need to feel more connected somehow. And I would wipe your plate where the carrots smeared the rim.
Maybe it’s not high end enough, but I almost wouldn’t mind a more rustic plating of this. Fluffy, mashed potatoes, carrots propped on top or against at an angle and pork on top, sauce around. Garnish on top or to the side of the pork.
If you’re adamant about structured potatoes, maybe piping them into a nice shape might be better than the hockey puck.
